We boekten de hostel omdat deze veel goedkoper was dan de lodge. Enige nadeel is dat je geen eigen wc en douche hebt, maar gezamenlijk. Die waren overigens wel erg schoon! Het eten was veel te duur voor wat je krijgt, vooral de soep(jes) waren extreem duur voor wat je krijgt! En het personeel mag meer persoonlijke aandacht aan iedereen besteden. Ze handelen iedereen af alsof we nummers zijn. Al met al wel goed, zeker omdat het Tikalpark echt om de hoek is. Zo kun je 's ochtends direct de zonsopkomst zien in het park zonder dat je daar extra kaartjes voor hoeft te kopen. Ook kun je per sag zo vaak als je wil naar binnen xodat je tussendoor lekker bij het zwembad lunt uitrusten.

Goede uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan Tikal. Nette kamers en fijn zwembad. Gedeelde douche is niet echt warm. Elektra is niet altijd beschikbaar, dus voor de sunrise tour is het handig eea klaar te leggen. Restaurant is ook prima.

Very good!
The hotel is very nice! In the middle of the jungle. We saw the monkeys in the trees, while we were swimming in the pool. The rooms are clean and the beds very good!! The food is quite expessive. And I Dont like to shower in the same space as the toilet (shared bathrooms).. overall we had a very good stay!

Nice hotel, too little atmosphere.
Beautiful well located hotel, friendly staff. Very clean. Dull restaurant. Na atmosphere after 6pm, so bring a book!! They are renovating the lobby and have closed the bar. Why not open the poolbar? No bar service etc. at the -very nice- pool! Wifi in lobby area is free and good. Watch out, they dont have tickets for the parc for sale, the ticketboot is 17km down the road.

Overall a terrible experience
It was a very bad experience. The rooms are small and dark without glass on the window so really noisy. The shared toilets always missed toilet paper. The restaurant offers a wide choice, but at least 1/3 of them were unavailable. Everything was overpriced and the food wasn’t as tasty as in the rest of the country. The reception informed us about the screening of a documentary on Tikal site in the cinema room but it didn’t work. The only good thing was our visit to Tikal thanks to our guide José.

Jungle Lodge
Location: - amazing and very convenient to get to the ruins. -Beautiful being amongst flora and fauna with clear view of the stars. The jungle gets loud at night so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper Facilities: - shower pressure varied but generally pretty good - the food was decent but obviously overpriced. Many choices for good and drink at the restaurant at Jungle Lodge and a few other choices at the other lodges. - the pool was in major need of a facelift. It was very unappealing and was actually quite disappointed because it looked so icky that I didn’t have a dip, despite the weather being very hot and humid. -rooms are comfortable, clean, and compact, and the bedding was soft and smelled clean. Service: - shuttles are provided at specific times for $15 USD/way or $20USD/roundtrip, which was very convenient and a good price if you’re flying into Flores. - employees at reception were friendly and helped when they could - employees in the restaurant were not as welcoming - it is possible to arrange tours from the hotel but the quality of the guides seems to vary greatly. I did the sunrise tour and was given very little information from the guide. Others in my group were told they would get information on the tour about the temples and the Mayans and did not, which was very frustrating for them. Even without much explanation from the guide, the sunrise tour was beautiful and I highly recommend you try (perhaps from another agency).

Good for the sunset tour, but for nothing else
I get it, it's in the jungle so you have to temper expectations, and yet you get the feeling things could have been so much better. Mattresses are extremely uncomfortable and since the place only has power for a few hours a day, the fans go out and the rooms become stuffy and uncomfortable. You basically don't have Wifi or coverage in the rooms. Shared showers are mostly cold water, so not the most pleasant experience. Service is slow and apathetic. When my private tour to Yaxha showed up almost an hour after schedule, they didn't flinch. Thankfully I cancelled, got a shared tour a day later for a fraction of the cost and had a blast. Some of these things were perhaps to be expected, others - not so much,

Perfecto para conocer Tikal
Hotel perfectamente ubicado para disfrutar de Tikal ya que el mismo está dentro del parque arqueológico. Organizan tours para ver el amanecer/atardecer en el parque con guías capacitados. La habitación no tenía baño privado pero están cerca y accesibles, así como bien limpios. Bonita piscina con servicios de bar/restaurant. Aunque no funcionaba la ducha.

Jungle Lodge Tikal
The hotel is in a beautiful environment. The plants, flowers, insects, birds, and monkeys, are all amazing. You have to walk to the pyramids so get ready to do some exercise. You also have to buy your tickets for tours and entrance into the part before you get there. I used Banrural. The bathrooms are shared and outside most of the rooms. Internet is poor. The is no air conditioning in the rooms, but there is a fan. Take your mosquito repellent. I would like to come back with my family.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, der Blick direkt in den Jungle, das Preis-Leisungsverhältnis gut und das Personal sehr freundlich. Es war toll, morgens die Tour zu den Pyramiden zu machen und nach einem tollen Frühstück die Mittagshitze im Pool zu überbrücken, bevor ich dann am Nachmittag nochmal zu den Pyramiden ging. 3 Nächte war ich dort und kann die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen. Auch der Service des Abholens und Hinbringens zum Flughafen nach Flores hat super geklappt und war sehr preisgünstig. Große Empfehlung!!!

5 Star Service surrounded by nature
I work in the travel industry and have been blessed to stay in many 5 Star/Diamond rated properties and was pleasantly surprised with the amazing 5 Star service provided by the staff at this hotel. It's not very often that you can say EVERY SINGLE STAFF member that you encountered offered superb service - front desk, bellman, servers, bartenders, housekeeping, maintenance, tour guides, and drivers. It was so amazing that I didn't want to leave and changed my shuttle to a later time. I want to give the staff members a standing ovation. Nice work team. The room was cozy with bug netting (thankfully, not needed), restaurant had delicious options, community areas were plentiful and comfortable including hammocks, and the pool area with large deck was epic with lots of wildlife to see. The ease of getting to/from the ruins was unheard of, especially if you want to do the sunrise/sunset hike. The only criticism I have is that I think the hotel should encourage more eco-friendly behaviors like reusing water bottles (since there is a water refill station in the lobby) instead of providing new ones every time you clean the room and leaving hanging towels to save water consumption. Come on people, reuse and reduce your footprint. Who doesn't travel with a refillable water bottle?! It's so easy.

This place is really nice! We had a room with shared bathroom, the room is cute and cozy and the bathrooms are really nice. The staff is super friendly. It's a short walk to the park.

The fact that this property is in the jungle makes it amazing! We stayed in the hostel portion of the lodge and the only downside is that there are daily planned power outages. So plan to wake up to your devices not being charged!

La ubicación es ideal para visitar mas tiempo el Parque Tikal. Los jardines son hermosos, todo el hotel limpio y el diseño en general, hermoso. El personal muy amable, no hay bulla la comida del restaurante Panela, excelente y precios tambien muy bien para el lugar que es y la calidad de la comida. Durante la noche y por la madrugada se escuchan los monos aulladores o aves. Todo el hotel es precioso, regresaría a Tikal solo por el hotel y la comida.

Ficamos no HOSTAL do HOTEL, que oferece quartos com banheiro compartilhado. O quarto é muito bem decorado. Possuía duas camas de solteiro com ótimos colchões e roupas de cama. O hotel possui horários de fornecimento de energia elétrica, em virtude da localização e uso de geradores. À noite, com o cessar da energia, ventiladores desligados, fazia calor na madrugada. Os banheiros compartilhados eram de primeira linha com excelentes acabamentos e decoração. Chuveiro com água quente, box privativos. Nossas diárias não incluíam nenhum plano de alimentação. Tínhamos nossos próprios lanches e snacks. A comida oferecida pelo restaurante tem um preço, razoavelmente elevado, comparado aos hotéis e restaurantes das cidades. Compreensível pelo local mais isolado. O próprio hotel em si, apesar do HOSTAL ser o mais econômico do parque, possui tarifas bem mais elevadas se comparadas a outros locais da Guatemala. Compreensível pela localização dentro do parque. Possui belas áreas comuns, com destaque à área de piscina que, aparentemente, estava com alguns pontos de reparo. Estacionamento incluído no valor da diária. De lá, você sai à pé e está a 5 minutos da entrada do Parque.

Very nice stay
Our hostal was comfortable. There were no glass windows, just fly screens for ventilation and the sounds of the jungle are very laudable on the premises. Everything was very clean and the staff very nice and helpful. It’s worth it to stay so close to the park entrance. The restaurant food was good and payment could be charged to the room and paid at the end.
