'Stayed for a long weekend. Close to many great attractions in Colorado Springs area, and just a short drive to Manitou. Perfect amount of space for two people. It’s a bit closer to the other buildings than it looks in the listing photos, but it’s a very quiet area and the neighborhood is nicely tucked back into the woods while still being right by the highway to get to where you want to go. 'The Bunk House is very quaint and peaceful…just what we wanted. It has everything we needed. It’s not far from town. We enjoyed sitting outside on the porch. There’s a little path that you can walk down to the river too. Highly recommend staying at the Bunk House if you are in Cañon City. Loved chatting with Shari, she is so sweet.'

'My stay was the most peaceful and relaxing stay I’ve ever had. Clean, cozy, comfortable, cute cottage in a quiet neighborhood. I slept so good. It was much needed. It was close to Downtown Colorado Springs are where I attended the Marlon Wayan’s Comedy Tour at the Pikes Peak Center. Christel was very kind and attentive with his responses. I appreciate him so much for making my stay go smoothly. Definitely recommend others to stay as well. '

'Excellent location to base out of to see sites with in hour of Colorado Springs. All the comforts of home. Linens, paper products, trash bags, spices ,cooking oil, coffee all there and gas grill. Games, and bicycles there for our use for nice evenings after dinner to rest up from hikes and adventures. Catholic church and grocery minutes away. Ken answered all of our questions quickly and gave good suggestions! This place like home.'

'This was a perfect house for our family of 5 adults! It was clean and comfortable with plenty of privacy and space for everyone. The living room was large enough for us all to gather and relax. 'In two words... "jaw dropping." The online photos (sorry VRBO) did not begin to do it justice. This circa 1951 property was remodeled recently with numerous high-end touches. All rooms were spacious and well appointed. The main bath had a huge walk-in shower with 4 showering options and 4 correlating faucet handles. Bad guest experience, mediocre management

"It’s a beautiful location with one of a kind views. Large and nicely appointed rooms. A/C/heater, fridge and several power outlets did not work. Even after informing the front-desk, these issues were not taken care of. Staff and front-desk manager seem not to care. Because of the great location we nevertheless extended our stay by one night and were told to come back later in the afternoon as we would move to the room above. We were totally fine with this. Upon checking in in the afternoon, front-desk informed us that nok room was available, except for a suite that would be way more expensive. When being overbooked, you expect a hotel to offer the suite at the same rate as the originally booked room. This did not happen, even not after talking to the front-office manager. It’s such a shame for such a beautiful property. If you charge the rates of a 5 star, 5 diamond hotel, then you should also deliver this service standard. With more care, better trained and professional employees and by going above and beyond this can be a great place, but based on our experience we will never come back. "
