'The Bartizan's rooms were spacious and clean. The bathroom was gorgeous. The breakfast was generous, and we were given a packed breakfast on the day we left early. The staff were very attentive. It is located on the coast and walkable to loads of shops and restaurants. It was our favourite hotel in the two weeks we spent in Sri Lanka. '

Okay, so someone had stolen the TV (joking; there isn’t one in the room, but there is fast, free wifi), but if you want to be in the centre of the Galle Fort action, I reckon few properties can beat this one!'

'The rooms are lovely in this little boutique hotel, it is located at the top of Gaul fort and easy to park and find. The staff are very good and helpful. They make good coffee. 'We really enjoyed our stay at Parawa House. We had a family room, which was perfect for us. The family who run the place are very friendly and helpful and make a lovely breakfast. The location was perfect too. The Wi-Fi connection wasn’t very strong in our room, but we were able to use communal areas to get Wi-Fi - which was essential for our preteens! A really lovely stay and we would return there if we came back to stay in Galle.'
