'Parking was crowded. We were welcomed into the lobby by a huge group of drunkards with liquor out on the tables, and we were half greeted by the hotel desk staff.'

My main concern was when I went down the stairs, the fire doors did not latch and were partially open. Upon further investigation I found that there was a mechanism on the fire door that enabled and disabled the latch based on turning a knob on the door.
