'Not bad compared to the others'

'What an awful experience, where do I start? A few days before my trip I contacted the property. The owner first said he couldn't host me because he was fully booked and asked me to cancel the reservation. After a few exchanges he said he could host me if I booked directly with him (at a higher price than what I had booked). At that time I could no longer cancel my reservation without paying any fee so, after he said he wouldn't respect my reservation I reported the issue to Expedia. Not so happy...

'Great staff, great environment'

'Beautiful and peaceful surroundings, peacocks walking around, super friendly staff, delicious food. You will need a car or taxi to go anywhere as the hotel is at a few minutes drive distance from Elmina. '

'Erg duur voor de prijs. Het ziet er op foto veel mooie uit dan in het werkelijkheid. De bedden zijn niet comfortabel, het lijkt of je op een harde vloer ligt (op zijn zachts gezegd)'

'I have been staying at Coconut Grove Beach Resort Elmina since 1995, when it was brand new. Since then few major changes or renovations have been made. This makes that the hotel is a little bit tired now. However, small upgrades in the last year or so keep accommodation / rooms at an acceptable level and the price level is ok for a beach resort. The location and surroundings of the hotel make up for any defects! Great location on the beach, nice terrace and swimming pool, with open air...

'The room was fine but the bathroom had mould and toilet was uncomfortable '

'We had an absolutely incredible stay at this hotel. Awesome staff!! The room was stunning, featuring beautiful decorations and a bed that was exceptionally comfortable. We spent hours on the room patio enjoying the breathtaking view of the ocean. Every amenity provided was useful and added great value to our stay. To top it all off, the food was incredibly great at every meal. Highly recommended!'

'Relaxing and scenic environment. Unfortunately we were only there for one night. The staff did an excellent job accommodating us on our early arrival. Would visit again.'

'Receptionist asked me for payment when I tried to check out. He put me on hold for a while just to confirm. I wonder why when I had already made payments days before coming there and yet he put me through such stress. '

'Niet alles was perfect. Maar dat verwachtte ik ook niet. De voorzieningen zijn goed, De mensen die er werken en de eigenaar doen er alles aan om het je naar de zin te maken. Dat is goed gelukt. Kortom als je niet te veeleisend bent kun je er prima toeven. Ik kom dan ook graag terug.'

'Confusion about location. Google map was very wrong. Took time to find it. Suggest this be fixed. Rooms were nice, and location good. '

'Goodwill was amazing and very professional. She is a real asset to the company.'

'Beleef het echte Elmina vanuit dit hotel. Alle andere resorts geven een vertekend beeld van de werkelijkheid. Eenvoudig hotel maar qua ligging uniek.'
