The Space:

Unforgettable family reunions, friend trips, and wine country getaways begin at the Hill Country Hackberry Retreat, a vibrant house just 3 minutes from Main St. Fredericksburg. Your group will love the covered outdoor space with a flat-screen TV, hot tub, and gas grill. Play a game of volleyball on the sand court, then gather around the fire pit under a big, starry Texas sky. Inside, an updated kitchen and open, single-level layout make this home a great pick for your group of up to 10!



Inside, your well-stocked rental is ready for family feasts, movie nights, appetizers, and wine at the kitchen bar… and, of course, a good night’s sleep for everyone.



LIVING SPACES -

Is your group split between those who like to be outside and those who prefer the comfort of the indoors? Not a problem at Hackberry Retreat! Head outside to watch the game on the flat-screen TV… or cozy up on the sectional sofa inside. Let the kids run off their excess energy in the fenced grassy yard and on the sand volleyball court. Parents, you can keep an eye on them while you soak in the hot tub!



KITCHEN and DINING -

The kitchen will quickly become a popular hangout spot for your group (second only to the spectacular outdoor area!). Pull up a barstool to the sprawling center island and chat with the chefs while they work… or plan the day’s Hill Country adventures over your morning coffee. Fully equipped and stocked for cooking, the kitchen features stainless appliances—including a double-sided fridge, gas stove, and dishwasher—and lots of elbow room and counter space for prepping and chopping. Dig into dinner around the center island for 8 and the adjacent dining table for 4. Or take your meal outdoors to the covered patio, which has seating for at least 10 under the roof cover and string lights. Fire up the gas grill on the patio (also under the roof cover!) for burgers and seared veggies, and bring your s’mores ingredients to the fire pit for dessert.



BED and BATH -

This one-level home features 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Each bed features an updated, ultra-comfortable mattress and high-quality linens. Bathrooms are stocked with plush towels and a starter supply of personal care products.



Primary bedroom suite: King bed, sitting area, attached bath with walk-in shower.

Bedroom 2: Two double beds.

Bedroom 3: Double bed, comfy armchair for reading!

Bedroom 4: Queen bed.

Bedroom 5: Twin-over-twin bunk bed, perfect for the kiddos.

Pet fees & rules:

We're delighted to welcome furry friends! This property is pet-friendly for dogs, unfortunately we can't accommodate cats at this time.

-Pet fee(s) of $155.00 plus tax will apply in addition to the nightly rate.

-Please check the weight limit and max number allowed for this unit.

-Please keep your pups leashed outside and clean up after them.

-A separate pet waiver must be signed.

-Any and all damages or issues caused by your pet to a unit or furnishing will be immediately charged to your credit card on file.



Guest Access:

✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $53 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $1.5 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

1. Check-in instructions, house rules, and property addresses will be available via the Happy guest link

2. Not all homes have cable; consider setting up a streaming account in advance.

3. Our team is committed to assisting you, though occasional check-in delays may occur during peak periods.

4. WiFi is available in all homes, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed. No refunds or rate adjustments will be made for mechanical failures, or discontinued or interrupted services that occur during your stay.

5. A $500 fine will be imposed for any evidence of smoking, confetti, vomit residues, or glitter.

6. Set the A/C no lower than 72 degrees to prevent freezing and system issues; no refunds for low-temperature-related A/C problems.

7. We will provide a two-day supply of start-up sundries, including dish soap, sponge, paper towels, toilet paper, bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hand lotion. Guests will need to purchase additional items from a local store or bring them with them. Missing supplies must be reported to our Customer Hospitality team within one hour of arrival.

8. Pets are allowed only in designated pet-friendly units, subject to an extra fee in addition to the nightly rate. Please verify whether pets are permitted in the unit you intend to rent. In the event that a pet is discovered in a non-pet-friendly unit, the guest grants Stay Texas authorization to levy a minimum additional cleaning fee of $500.

9. Bugs are common in the Texas Hill Country; pest control is in place on a regular basis, but some insects are inevitable.

10. In Texas, there are periods of time without significant rainfall causing the county to place a ban on burning. Please check the current burn ban status, before using the fire pit at your vacation rental. Check the amenities to see if this rental is equipped with a fire pit.

11. Please observe Fredericksburg’s Quiet Hours (10 p.m. to 7 a.m.)

12. The City of Fredericksburg is an international Dark Sky Community. To protect the dark skies, please turn off outdoor lighting when not in use.

13. Only utilize the designated on-site and off-site parking spaces at your rental.

14. For any issues during your stay, a 72-hour window after check-out is provided to file a claim. Note that refunds won't be issued for claims submitted after this period. We appreciate your cooperation.
