We loved it!!
This house is BEAUTIFUL and HUGE!!! In total we had 10 adults, and 7 kids ranging from 1-16.(total of 5 families) We had more than enough space and never felt over crowded, but always felt close enough to be able to be together! My only complaint is it was not the cleanest. My one year old would crawl around and his knees and feet would be black, in the couch had old chips and the light in the kitchen had someone else’s name written in the dust😅 but other than that we absolutely loved it! It was a 5 minutes straight walk to the beach.

Always nice to be in Paradise
We had a great time on vacation. We did find a used condom behind the bunk bed and cleaned up water more then once due to the AC leaking. The owner was very prompt with responses but the maintenance crew was not prompt with showing up. The large porch was so nice to be out in at night and the multiple fridges was a huge bonus.

Memories were made
We celebrated our family union during Christmas break. Everything was so wonderful. We had plenty of space and beds for people to sleep in. We really enjoyed the big parking space because we were able to play pickleball out there. And the house located at the back where there is not a lot of traffic. We also enjoyed the fact that we can walked less than 1 mile to the beach. Love the place.

Nasty, grimy and dusty!
I would Not recommend this house. This house was extremely grimy, nasty, dusty and appliances doesn’t work. The stove doesn’t well. 2/3 refrigerators did not get cold during 5 day stay. Owners kept making excuses and ignored my concerns. The listing is not accurate!

Perfect family reunion
We had a wonderful time and great stay. Kitchen had everything needed to cook and best set up I've experienced. Deck was amazing and had great space for the kiddos to enjoy their cousins while adults enjoyed the main floor. Plan to stay again. Thanks!

Family reunion / postponed wedding reception
We had 2 beach houses-this was 1 of the 2. Due to unforeseen circumstances after our wedding in December, my husband and I never had a reception- why not have one for 4th of July?! We brought a few extra tables. We used the property as the gathering space for both families. It was perfect ! Huge yard and downstairs space. Game room and 2 separate living areas with their own entrances I wish I would have know how bedrooms were laid out and I wish the lift worked. The cleaning crew didn’t seem to really clean before we arrived. The floors were dirty but it’s the beach and the sheets were all clean! Overall a true and honest 8.5/10 I would rent this house again PS. The AC and extra fans provided worked great!!

Beds, Beds, Beds!!!
We had a group of 14 girls and 12 adults and this house was PERFECT for us! The fact that all girls could be in one room together and sleep in bed was amazing AND all adults had their own bed to sleep in!! I loved the layout of the house where girls could gather in their quarters upstairs but still had a spare sleeping area for a supervising adult. Penny off room for them to play inside and out and just a quick drive to the beach. Loved it!

Huge House!
This house is HUGE! So much space for all of us to spread out and each have our own area to settle into after our day at the beach. Of course we also enjoyed the living areas like the living room and kitchen to gather and spend some quality time together. The house was super clean upon arrival and we just immediately felt at home here.

Location and Property Management was Great!
Parking was perfect! Mosquitoes were viscous so spray before getting out of car! The space was perfect for our group of 20 and we'd definitely stay again. Cleaning company didn't do a good job with floors restrooms and lift wasn't accessible to guest but the property itself was everything we needed!

Amazing! Stay
Our group of 8 families had a great time here. Everything was as advertised. Communication was super easy. Instructions were clear. Property was spacious. All kids stayed in the huge room in second floor. They had their own TV, played table tennis and Foosball and stayed together in bunk beds. The kitchen had all the essentials. The bathrooms were small but no complaints from us. Area is quiet. We played volleyball at the back of the house. The beach is only a 2 to 5 minute drive. We watched sunrise and watched moon and planets through our telescope at night. Overall, a happy memory. Thank you for everything

Perfect for my family!
This house was perfect for our family reunion. The house was clean and had enough beds for everyone. You do have to drive to a public beach, which will cost you $12 per vehicle. The house was very well stocked. The management always reponded to my questions promptly. We really enjoyed our stay! Looking forward to next year!

Family beach stay
This is our first stay at the Beach and definitely won't be the last. Weather cooperated the house was really nice and roomy. Would recommend. Only half showed up but still had the ones that made it saying multiple times how much they appreciated it.

Pack the Zyrtec and Lysol!!
This house had great potential but was pure disappointment every step of the way. The management company was horrendous. They made promises and never held to any of them. We even contacted VRBO directly and spoke with the management company who ensured something would be done to correct the extreme dirtiness upon arrival. Even the kitchen sink had food particles still all over. A cleaning lady was sent 2x, she stayed for 5-10 minutes each time and didn't actually clean anything while there. The beds had hairs and sand on the sheets and on the comforters. The floor had not been swept nor mopped. We even had 4 yo complaining how gross their feet felt if walking barefoot inside. The cleaning crew did throw away the outside rug on the patio that was covered in dog poop, with screws and cigarette butts when we arrived- that was nice. We tried to making coffee the first morning we noticed old coffee still in the carafe so we cleaned it and tried to make coffee but once it spilled everywhere we realized it was broken- thankfully we were able to mop up the gross floors with the towels we had since there was no mop on site. While inside we began sneezing (kids and adults) due to the thick layers of dust and dirt throughout the home. The AC filter has most likely never been changed as we noticed it caked in dust from just sitting on the couch. There is a nice sitting area in the living room but beware of the chair closest to the door- we had one child and two adults who sat there jump up with red bites all over their legs and back so don't sit there! All the bathrooms had mold/mildew and sand inside of the showers (UPON ARRIVAL). There is no outside shower or even water hose to rise off post beach trips which would be the reason for all the sand in the showers but i would expect it to be cleaned out for the next guests ESPECIALLY for the price per night we were paying. We reached out several more times to the management company asking to speak with the owner directly (as they said he would reach out) but we never heard back from ANYONE even mang. co. We spent WAY too many hours trying to mitigate all of these issues without resolve while on a family reunion vacation. Also, if you are expecting to be able to go to the beach easily from this location that is a hard no. You have to drive miles down a VERY crowded public access ($15) beach. Sounds fun huh? STAY AWAY. No discount was given for the issues either. I have a case with VRBO open.

Great for huge gatherings
This house is great for big groups. Plenty of beds for everyone. The location is alright, other nearby houses have tons of trash in their yard. The closeness to the beach was amazing. Loved the outdoor wrap around patio. The room with all the bunk beds is above the main house. You have to walk out and up the stairs to get access to that room.

The house was wonderful. Great location. We didn't have much of a mosquito problem. The only thing the group before us left the house a mess, and the cleaning crew were in until 530. Other than that the house is a gem, the owners were very responsive.

Great house for family gathering
We had family members of all ages (incl a few infants) and we had a great time here. Just minutes driving from the beach and a great backyard for the kids to run around in the sun. Really nice covered balcony where we spent most of our time enjoying each other's company and having meals together. Inside was clean and well air conditioned. Had a great time!

Family Reunion 2022
The house was large and inviting! We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay. One thing we didn’t understand is the large bedroom with bunks was outside and upstairs not connected with the main part of the house. It made a difference for us because we had small children.

Spring Break 2022
We had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, the weather turned out being rather cold, but the house set up provided us with space to have a wonderful weekend. The game room was perfect for entertaining our kiddos. The BBQ is on the driveway covered. We were able to set up our corn hold game under the deck and play as we grilled. Once it warmed up, we enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and down to the sea wall. We were surprised with a St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday. Such a cool community! Definitely support the locals and go purchase your souvenirs from the Surf Shop by the VFD. Host had excellent communication and house was fully stocked. Thank you, Russell!

Great for large groups
We had a wonderful time in Surfside. The house is perfect for large group gatherings. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, the additional refrigerators made it easy to stock plenty of food and drinks, and the location was great. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Family vacation
I had planned a family vacation, inviting about 25 people. The house I rented was amazing, super clean, great outdoor patio and all my family had beds to sleep in, so no one had to bring an air mattress. The beds were super comfy and we had plenty of towels. I am planning another family vacation and hope the house will be available. I would recommend it to anyone.

Great holiday weekend!
We had 14 adults and 8 kids ages 6 months to four years in the house for the 4th of July and had a fabulous time. The house had everything we needed to cook all of our meals in, and it had plenty of space for all of us to relax when we weren't at the beach. We ended up renting a golf cart to be able to transport all of the kids back and forth from the beach - I highly recommend that if you have little ones since it is a very long walk (or short ride) to the water. Even though it was a holiday weekend, the beach wasn't too crowded and the locals were very welcoming to us. Finally, the host was super responsive if we had questions come up during our stay. Good for groups with kids or teens
Overall we had a nice stay but feel like it needs a good deep clean and renovation. Pros: lots of room for large groups, 3 fridges, the kids area is completely separate upstairs, couple of blocks from the beach. Cons: towels were damp when arrived, felt dirty, the ground level had abandoned couches and seemed sketchy, no outside shower, there are tons of bunk beds which is great for kids but it meant some of us adults had to sleep in them.

Big & Beautiful. Close to the Beach
This was the ideal location for our mini family reunion. With more than enough sleeping space for our family, and just a minute to the beach, I don't think we could beat this house. I've been coming to Surfside for years, and have never stayed in a home better suited for a large family. The kitchen is well stocked, the entire house was very clean, and there were more than enough linens, towels, trash bags etc. I also appreciated the fact that there are 4 refrigerators. We had no problem at all keeping our food and drinks cool.

Family Reunion
Room for the whole family!!! And we had almost 35 people across the board in age. What a perfect spot. It truly made our very large group feel small because there was so much room! With the 2nd living room / game room upstairs, the kids were able to spend time playing games in their own space, and we all were able to eat dinner together out on the patio and enjoy the outdoor bar. Would highly recommend to anyone with a large group!!

Absolutely Amazing Beach House
We had an amazing time in this huge house! There was so much space for everyone inside and outside. We loved the enclosed area below the house that we could hang out in. The decks had so much space for everyone to sit all together and during the chilly evenings there was plenty of space in the main living room and game room. Every bed was great and there were plenty of towels provided for each person staying. This house looks just like the photos and has plenty of space. We will be renting this house every year for our annual friend trip to Surfside! The manager was so helpful with any questions we had and replied very quickly. Definitely a 10 out of a 10!

Massive! Surf's Up!
Perfect home for our group. The game room was a big hit...ping pong, foosball and a massive TV! We didn't have enough people to fill the bunk room, but everyone was pretty impressed with it nonetheless. The beach is about 3 minutes away. You could walk, but we chose to drive down daily because parking really wasn't an issue. The home is on a pretty quiet street, we felt like there was more than enough privacy, even while out on the deck. We ate dinner out at the patio table and put the outdoor kitchen to use one night. I'd highly recommend this home for families and for large groups.

Incredible! For the money, there is no way you can find a better beach house than this place! The Walloping Whale, haha! That name really sums it up, it's huge. The outdoor kitchen was a big hit, even though the weather was a bit chilly during our stay. My kids want bunk beds just like the ones in the bunk room now too, haha. We didn't have a huge group, but this home is clearly made to comfortably host large groups...I've recommended it to my kids' youth pastor. I've stayed in Surfside quite a bit over the years, and this was one of the cleanest, and easily most impressive home I've been in. We will definitely keep it in mind for our annual family reunion!

WOW - Incredible Home
Wow, this home was exactly what we were looking for and fit our group perfectly. We had 22 in total, all friends for nearly 2 decades. We try to do a reunion of sorts every year, but covid unfortunately threw a wrench into our plans late last year, but I'm so glad we found this! The home is massive, and the decks and outdoor space is even bigger. Luckily we had decent weather even in February, so we had all of our meals out on the deck, and made drinks at the outdoor bar. There were more than enough beds for everyone and the beach was just a minute down the road. We will keep this place in mind for all future trips!
