'Incredibly peaceful and quiet. The birds were incredible to see and hear! Easy walk (at the end of the cul-de-sac at the bottom of the hill) to the beach by way of a mowed path. Beautiful!'

'We had only 2 nights and were fairly busy, so didn't get to enjoy surroundings and the property so much, but if you're looking for a place to crash, do some surfing, walks on the beach, have a great coffee from the coffee truck right across the road, watch something on netflix when it's all done, this is your spot! '

'A very enjoyable stay in a quiet spot with view- just what I like. Attentive host.One thing I need to give feedback on is that the online description included "kitchen", so I took food that could be cooked on a stove top. 'Frances was more accommodating than any host we’ve encountered in any country. She met us upon arrival, explained a few things, made two restaurant reservations for us, changed one on the day of, provided directions, rebooted internet immediately, and left cream for our coffee. She even had fresh flowers throughout the house. Her place is a perfect location to sit and watch all the port and harbor activity, walk to several restaurants and cafes, but easy to take tunnel into Christchurch....

'My two sons and I fitted well into this tiny but thoughtfully laid-out house. They shared the double bed, I took the couch - just what I like, though some may find it a little lumpy. The heater did a good job of keeping us warm through frosty nights. Small house, so small fridge, small bench, small cooking facilities, simple meals worked best. A minor point: would have preferred to have a large glass bowl or dish for use in the microwave oven. Quiet suburb, picturesque location near a river,...
