'Loved the location, by walks and the sea. The living space and bathroom areas are fabulous and large. Everything you could need in the kitchen, the drier was a bonus after using the hot tub (lush), we could dry our towels. Would stay again definitely. Hanging in bedroom was a bit wobbly, could do with fixing. A couple more hooks on the back of the bedroom doors would be useful. These are very minor though and did not affect our holiday at all.'

'We had a lovely stay at East Chalet. It’s large enough for a family of five or six, and has most amenities you’d need on a short break. All the beds are singles unless you remember to specify otherwise, and they’re small singles - great for kids but on the small side for adults. There are blinds in all the rooms but they leak a lot of light and fall down as they’re balanced on the rails. This would be an easy repair job. 'We had a great stay in Alexander Pike’s one bedroom flat in Cowes. The property could not have been situated any better. It was in downtown Cowes on the pedestrian zone. The grocery store and bus stop were directly across the street from the flat. The walk from the ferry was one minute. The apartment was spotless. The appointments were perfect. Everything we could have wanted was provided. We definitely will stay here again when we return to the Isle of Wight.'

'Had a lovely stay here. The appartment was great for what we needed. The location was perfect, beach at the end of the street and a nice pub! Short walk back into the main street for the shops. Only issue, there were no curtains/blinds up in the living room, didn't really bother us as not really overlooked. Apart from that would definitely stay here again.'

'No Air conditioning! Bar under with loud party all night long. Windows open for air. You book this room only if you want to party. Otherwise you will be kept up all night long. 90 degrees outside and hotter inside do to restaurant ovens directly under room. It was the worst experience. Jet lag turned into nightmare 😫'

Room 3 also have a noisy dog and the male occupant smokes cannabis every day.The apartment was not the one we booked, we identified this immediately, contacted the host who did nothing. "It is a well-located and welcoming hotel, with so many imperfections that it feels perfect! You really feel as though you are being welcomed into an old home. The interior is beautiful and the old lift is an attraction in itself. The hotel has been renovated at some point, yet it still feels wonderfully authentic. The staff made it a memorable experience. It is also very conveniently located in a beautiful, wooded area. A few things to keep in mind: * You can park for free behind the hotel, and there was always a space available during our stay. There are no EV charging points. * The breakfast is award-winning, although we did not find it particularly special and it is only available until 9:30 am. The croissants and other pastries were already running out shortly after 9:00 am. The mango and raspberry purées, however, are absolutely heavenly. The staff are very competent and friendly. * Only the rooms facing the street have air conditioning, due to the traffic on the two-lane road outside. With the windows closed, however, the traffic is not an issue at all. The air conditioning worked extremely well in our room. I would definitely recommend choosing a room with air conditioning, as the rooms can get very warm. There are no fridges in the rooms. * The hotel uses key cards, so there are no impractical room keys with large key fobs. We really enjoyed our stay! Definitely recommended for a summer visit, as long as you choose the right room!"
