The Space:

The indoor space at the cottage features two cozy fire places, a fully equipped chef's kitchen, formal living and dining areas, two king-sized ensuite bedrooms (one with a study), another half-bath, and an upstairs loft space with three single beds. There is also a full basement with in-house laundry. All linens are provided (including robes) and are the superior quality and exclusive brands you'd expect from a property like this. The outdoor spaces include expansive stone walkways and patios with ample estate-furniture seating to either lounge on or enjoy meals together outside. There is a Weber propane grill, along with a propane fire pit for your convenience. You'll be surrounded by lush perennial flower and fruit beds, each featuring radian in-season blooms, along with breathtaking fields of native wildflowers that are home to hundreds of monarch butterflies. Bald eagle and Osprey activity can be seen daily, along with sea creatures like seals, porpoise, schools of mackerel or pogies, and jumping striper (striped sea bass)!



Guest Access:

Follow signs to The Cottage. You'll end up at a circular driveway- this is your private parking. Follow the lit, granite path through the hydrangea shrubs to the main entrance where you will see a lockbox on the exterior wall.



You will have full private access to the entire cottage, including a private entrance equipped with a secure custom lock box for your convenience. Guests are welcome to enjoy the expansive garden and backyard, the outdoor patio area with seating, and the BBQ grill. Please note that the indoor living spaces, including the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms, are for your exclusive use. For your safety and privacy, please refrain from entering the locked, gated pool area across the property and the separate building located next to the cottage (which serves as an office for management), as these are restricted and not part of your accommodations.



The Neighborhood:

This is a very private, rural setting. Friendship Village is just a mile away with a town general store, library, churches, town office, public landing, and Friendship's only restaurant- Jameson Point Lobster Company! At the end of Bradford Point (the end of the point where Seaside Farm is located), there is a beautiful public boat landing. At lower tides, this is an excellent spot to take a walk to and comb the rocky beach area!



Getting Around:

There is a lot to be said about small Maine towns without public transportation- mostly good! With that in mind, though, you'll need transportation for your stay. If you need help figuring that out, don't hesitate to ask!



Other Things to Note:

Check-in time is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. A vehicle is required to access the property, which features free, private, onsite parking. For safety reasons, using the indoor fireplace for wood fires is not permitted. We will provide you with duraflame logs for your stay! Any water activities, such as fishing or swimming, are at your own risk. Please do not rearrange the furniture. If you do, be sure to place it back where you found it. Access to the fenced pool area across the property, as well as the adjacent management building is strictly prohibited. This house is a smoke-free space, and pets are not allowed. Events or parties are not permitted for short-term rental stays.



Finally, we will need each guest over 18 years of age to sign a one-page waiver form that allows you access to the waterfront features of the property. This document is available in electronic form, but if you don't get it signed before you arrive, no need to worry- We will bring a paper copy for your wet signature!
