First of all I would like to say the address was complete and correct, nobody else has trouble finding us with the directions supplied. some Sat Navs have the name of the road listed incorrectly but that is not usual on the Island. I think you are only the second person to have trouble finding us in 15 years. You did come racing down the road at high speed shouting obscenities twice getting the attention of at least 2 other residents. The road name is clearly displayed at the end of the road and the property is numbered. Also, we did supply you with a phone number for you to contact us in the event of a problem . We do not agree the the apartment is small, we would say it is above average for an apartment.

We have been letting our apartment for nearly fifteen years and have never meet such rudeness. I thought we were going to have problems with these guests even before they arrived when we received a phone call saying they couldn’t find us and our directions were rubbish. Other guests have commented on how detailed and good they are. It appeared that they were in the wrong village some 10Km away.When they finally arrived, they complained again about the directions. In the late afternoon of the next day, we returned to our house to find the house in darkness as all the shutters at the rear were closed. We normally only close those which could be observed from the pool; we opened them: The next day we heard two loud bangs and noticed that the shutters had again been slammed to and jammed with tea towels and dishcloths. We immediately opened them and within minutes there was banging on the windows. When we went out, we were met with shouting and abuse saying we were thick and rude which they repeated in almost every sentence. They considered the apartment was not private, we pointed out that the patio in front of their apartment is completely private and from our rear window we only had visibility of part of the pool and then only if we stand and peer through the half of the window. We had already explained on their arrival that we do not come out into the rear or use the pool or use our separate patio also if we have guests we fully close the patio door shutters to make it private but this had no effect and they responded by saying over and over again that we we were thick and rude. We tried very hard to keep calm and suggested if they were not happy they should leave but they said no they were staying. From a personal point of view, the slamming of the shutters was particularly offensive as my wife was having a rest after a recent operation and was woken up by the loud banging noise. In our guest book, we say on the first page that if clients are not happy with any aspect of the apartment, they must inform us immediately which they did not do. We could have remedied the situation from the start had the clients taken a more sensible approach. We did not see them again. After 5 days, we were beginning to think there was a problem as the car was not seen on the drive. We therefore considered ringing the Police and Hospital but before we did so, I walked round to the apartment and looked through a window and there I could see some keys on the dining table. Thinking they may have left and these maybe our keys I broke in, confirmed they had left and recovered the keys. They had locked the apartment by pressing the key mechanism from outside with the keys inside. Although they left the apartment in reasonable condition, the bedding was soiled and mouldy satsumas were left on the dining table. We would warn owners taking a booking from this couple in the future to be very cautious.

Ich wünschte, Sie hätten etwas gesagt, da wir die elektrische Druckerhöhungspumpe hätten einschalten können. Mücken sind da, wenn es keinen Wind gibt und wie Sie sagten, bieten wir einen Bildschirm im Schlafzimmerfenster und ein Netz um das Bett. In der Lounge gibt es eine Reihe von Plug-In-Repellentien, die die Gäste verwenden können. Das wahre Geheimnis ist jedoch, dass die Tür oder das Fenster in der Lounge nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit nicht geöffnet ist und das Licht eingeschaltet ist, da dies sie anzieht.

Sorry, some misunderstanding, the property is only advertised on owners direct as one bedroom. There is only one bedroom. I do not know where the idea of 3 bedrooms came from. Also the property is advertised as an apartment it is therefore by definition attached to some other property be it a house or another apartment.
