The hotel is at the top of the range for price. Booked to rooms for government meetings, and one had no hot water..zero! Not an amenity on would even expect was in question?? Issue was reported, not fix fixed, and zero compensation or customer service….full rate, and a sorry about that??? Completely unacceptable at rate.

I really had very good stay and the room was very clean but i had a problem with the breakfast it was not up to the standard expected. i had asked for treat since it was on my birthday and i didn't receive it like in other hotels they do sing and give a small piece of Cake for the treat.

Great Service and Amenities for Business Travel
Overall I had a really great stay (6 nights) at Avani in Gaborone. I was here for a very short business trip and wanted all of the modern comforts and conveniences and Avani didn't disappoint. From the breakfast buffet (I paid for it to be included), the room service, the pool lounge and the Pantry (coffee shop), the food quality was very high and the service was excellent. By the end of the week, the staff recognized me in the Pantry cofee shop, knew my order and even taught me a little bit of Setswana! The only hiccup was I relocated from my original room, immediately after check-in, because the air conditioning wasn't working in room #1. I called the front desk, they sent someone very quickly to investigate and they moved me to a new room without any delays. Room #2 was great and the rest of the trip was without incident. I would gladly come and stay here again. Great for business travel.

Nice hotel nice staff. The pool could have been cleaner and the staff had to search for two towels for us even though no one else was at the pool. It would be nice to have an iron in the room and more than one shower towel.

Negatief: Netheid, personeel en service, staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten en comfort kamer
Much worse than expected
Renovation is going on. Have always heard hammering, welding etc. Construction materials were on the corridor. Cookie crumbs were scattered on the room carpet. Had to ask vacuum again. Demanded slippers but not available Dinner buffet was not good. Grilled meat was cold, dry, and tough. Glass wine(red) was good but kept warm! Gym was just ok.

Good business hotel
My regular hotel in Gaborone for 15 years. Undergoing a major renovation so some problems with room choice. I.e. I was offered a room with a shower but it was then discovered it was not available cf building works.
