Best in Gangtok - undoubtedly
Mayfair Gangtok is undoubtedly the best hotel with others way behind. The place is excellent in all respect except for the fact that its about 10 mins drive away from the city center. Good spacious rooms with large size bathrooms, nice restaurant and good view of the valley. The casino and spa are equally good. You will be very happy that you chose this hotel for your vacation.

Best property in Gangtok!
Everything was excellent except for the food served in the casino. Best place to stay in Gangtok without a doubt.

I am not satisfied with hotel booking site
Stay was ok but booking with hotel.com was terrible. We have booked for one room but they have booked two room and deducted the amounts with out our knowledge. It was terrible for us and know only when we reached hotel. They have not helped us out

Pricey but good hotel. One issue during winter is that the heater provided is not adequate for heating the entire room and bathroom. Staff is reluctant to provide additional heater due to concerns about overloading and tripping electric supply (at least this was the explanation given to us). No other complaints.

A WELL MAINTAINED HOTEL WITH EVERYTHING AVAILABLE WITH A BIG PRICE TO PAY WHICH IT DOESNT DESERVES. IT HAS EVERYTHING BUT NOT AS A FIVE STAR OR EVEN A FOUR STAR HOTEL HAS IT. A SMALL POOL, A SMALL LIBERARY, GYM, CHILDREN PLAY ROOM ETC ETC. THEY HAVE MADE EVERY CRITERIA TO GET FIVE STAR BUT BUT NOT A BIT AT PAR WITH A FIVE STAR HOTEL. PRICES AS HIGH AS YOU CAN GET... BUT NOT AT ALL AT PAR. SERVICE IS DISAPPOINTING AND CERTAIN STAFF ARE TOTAL IDIOTS. SHOULD VISIT A PROPER FIVE STAR BEFORE ANNOUNCING THEMSELVES PROUDLY AS 5 STAR... PLEASE DO VISIT HOTELS LIKE JW MARRIOTS, HAYAT, TAJ OR OBERIOS ETC ETC

rooms were not up to the mark. wooden flooring was noisy. very noisy. toiletries were of inferior quality. towels were like being resused again and again, like 3 star towels.

Artsy hotel nestled in the Himalayas
The hotel is decorated with high-end art pieces and provides a calming Zen experience from beginning to end. The staff were all very hospitable and helpful - the only aberration was we found a baby stroller in the room after our return from a side trip, and we did not ask for it. The WiFi signal was patchy. The front entrance, library and cafeteria were gorgeous. The hotel is in a valley - the best experience was to see the lights come on the adjacent mountains. Our balcony was large - we felt we could spend a few more days there, soaking up the view of the Himalayas. Access to the town of Gangtok, the viewpoints and the monastery needs access to a car, or the hotel can arrange transportation. We will go back to Mayfair soon.

Great hotel, great rooms, perfect view
Great hotel, amazing location with amenities. We went in off season so a few restaurants were not functional but then the rooms, the staff made up for it. Had a great time with my family.

Beautiful hotel. This was our second stay
The hotel is so beautiful. It is hard to describe it.The premises are beautifully landscaped and you find some thing nice at every nook and corner . Our room was large and the large balcony even had a Gazebo, and tastefully furnished. They have a socked minibar which is complimentary. The staff is exemplary, courteous and very helpful. They even remembered us from our previous visit three years back. The views of the mountains is beautiful and tranquil.

날씨가 추워서 방에있는 히터를 계속 틀어놓아야했던 것릏 빼면 모든게 마음에 들었습니다. 작은 히터의 소음은 컸고 공기를 뿜어내는 방식이라 건조함이 불편했습니다

Great Hotel with Great Hospitality
I stayed for 5 days with Family. In terms of Infrastructure it is the Best in Gangtok, dont even look for other place if Mayfair is available. Staff is highly courteous and willing to help at all times. Rooms are well decorated, big enough in size and give you scenic view of Gangtok.

Myself and my family stayed here for 2 nights.Not much to comment. Everything including the food and other services are very expensive. More than double the rates of Mayfair, Darjeeling.

Expected more from a 4.5 stars hotel. Business center computers did not function properly...Pool was too small...spa was too too far from room or fitness center. Tiles and floors needed some serious attention...too far from town

Perfect relaxation
During the course of our Sikkim trip we had stayed here for 2 nights and were again spending one more night on way back home. We were rewarded with an upgrade to a suite. And the suite was just wow. Large, tastefully furnished, surrounded by greenery on all sides, located on a quiet walkway. It was the perfect end to a great holiday. As with our previous stay, we were happy with the service and personalised attention, good food and relaxing ambience. Would love to go back again just to stay there.

Expect an accommodation, not hospitality
This is spectacular looking property. However, there was no sense of hospitality at Mayfair during our stay. You need to fight for any request you have. You need to double check everything which you've agreed on per email communication (we booked a car with the guide for sightseeing well in advance: nobody knew about. asked for pick up from airport: needed to call to reconfirm. For Diwali celebration ANYTHING was done, no activities, no Gala diner, no firework). Food is ok, you will not leave hungry--is it what we expect from the hotel like Mayfair? I felt I spent my money not wisely.

Delight tucked away in greenery and scenery
The drive from Bogdogra airport took around 4 1/2 hours, some of the roads were runined by landslides, you will also need a visa to enter Sikkim, something we were not aware of. There is a daily helicopter which you can charter. The staff were extremely kind, most being able to speak at least a little English. We stayed 3 nights and took a day tour booked through the hotel, I would definitely recommend doing this.

A brilliant experience
Lush, sophisticated and welcoming from the start to end! We were ushered into a calm tranquil world, just what every traveler expects . Extraordinarily huge and tastefully decorated rooms , splendid lobby areas. We could feel the positive chi flowing. The Buddhist resonances matched the decor and the spirit of the resort. Fabulous food and service.

A pure resort with top-end luxury.
D resort exceeded my expectation.. D great ambience, decor n neetness.. D food is d most delicious.. D staff is prompt n well behaved.. D presence of a sweeming pool is particularly liked by my kids.. Lastly, d spa is wonderful.
