'Great place!! There were some renovations and building happening during my stay but it was still quite nice, comfortable, rooms were super clean and cozy. Staff were super hospitable! The only issue was the drainage in the bathroom, the floor isn’t on a tilt so the water stayed level and wouldnt go to the drain properly. But everything else was 10/10'

'I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mad Monkey Hostel Siargao and I must say, it was an amazing experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly staff who were always willing to help.
The hostel itself is located in a prime spot, just a short walk away from the famous Cloud 9 surf break and other popular spots on the island. The common areas are spacious and well-designed, with plenty of spaces for guests to relax and socialize in.

'I had an amazing time at this homestay and was made to feel very welcome. The place is run by super friendly Vivian who shared lots of good local knowledge, helped arrange many things, and cooked delicious breakfasts. Her son does surfing lessons which I tried for the first time, and I can totally recommend him. They can also arrange very cheap motorbike rental.
They have some friendly dogs and cats so if you are an animal lover this place would really suit you.

'The facilities are really nice in general but the new rooftop hangout is going to really make this hostel stand out when things go back to normal. Such a great place to hangout, have drinks after surfing, watch movies on a rainy day or play play or other games with other travellers!

'The main complaint is about the dogs that bark all night long and they’re very violent and aggressive dogs that are so loud that they wake you up all night long!!! Also the room that’s upstairs has no bathroom so you have to walk all the way down and around just to take a pee in the middle of the night'
