Great value for money.
We stayed at the sovereign for two days just see check out george town. The value for money was great. You dont pay much and get a decent place to sleep. Also what is nice that it was a monumental building. Looked very nice and historical.

给的钱是deluxe double ensuite 的钱,不过照片和房间完全是天和地,风扇都还没装上去,却和我们说这个是新design 够力的没有下次了

I stayed at 1st floor, room floor unsecured, old wood floor, can see through below, it also makes sound when we stepped on it, so disturbing coz i bring my baby. Blanket and bedding seems like not clean (might be) but no odor. Room not as in photo, im quite disappointed. No tv remote. Have aircond remote but malfunction. Room door hard to open, stuck to open from outside, inside much easier. Overall, what I paid is not worth what I get

Nice view from outside, but the room are different from what we get. Room are dirty, no bottles water provide, no tv, no boiling water facility & no sleeping lamp, please think twice if you plan to stay here with family. Only suitable for back packer & single traveler.

Booked this hotel due to its cheap deal and heritage style... so I am prepared not to have much expectation on it. No lift. So carry your own luggage. Let me introduce some of their rooms: Room G102 Door spoilt, difficult to open and close, ppl can peep through from outside. Fridge with water leaking. Aircon not cold. Room G103 Aircon not cold. Both rooms have no doors to separate sleeping area and toilet/shower. Room G105 better and bigger. But aircon and fan are noisy. Not sure if it's dampness causing the mouldy smell. Those rooms near the reception or those at ground floor are better than those at level 2. But overall, no noise reduction between rooms, no toiletries, no hair dryer, no kettle, no tv signal. Complimentary breakfast are kuehs, toast, diluted coffee, tea bags... decent breakfast so don't compare with those hotel international breakfast buffet. Seen three receptionists (one at a time), not sure their shift will change or fixed. Ard morning to noon (don't seems like a Malaysian): Not so friendly, gets irritated easily. Evening to night (a slimmer middle aged lady): Make an effort to check on the problem. Midnight to morning (a guy): Willing to change the rooms when requested and passed message after his shift. I prefer the lady who prepared breakfast cos she is the friendliest person in this hotel. Try to chit chat with her, at least she will smile back. Location of this hotel is actually not bad... but there are definitely better hotels just a few steps away.

Hotel non nelle nostre aspettative.
Siamo rimasti molto delusi nel trovare un'hotel che non rispecchiava la descrizione. Abbiamo prenotato la camera, ma al nostro arrivo ci siamo trovati con una camera senza finestra. Abbiamo dovuto pagare una differenza prezzo, per poterne avere una con finestra. La colazione, inclusa nel prezzo, mai fatta perchè era semplicemente del the e pan carrè ed acqua naturale, servita vicino ad un lavandino, dove ognuno doveva lavarsi le tazze. Questo ci ha comportato un'ulteriore spesa di colazione effettuata a circa 500 metri, dove c'era un bar.

デジポットを100預けたはずなの翌朝返金されたのが50でした。受付の対応が悪くて最悪です。領収書の様な物も手書きでよく確認しなかったのも悪かったかもしれませんが、使用しているタオルも自分たちで洗っているようで手すりに干してあり、ドアの鍵もちゃんと閉まらない。写真はだいぶ昔の物のようで実際にはただの古びた建物でした。

The hotel is nice. It is quite quiet. The floor is rustic and kinda dirty a bit. The TV cannot be used. The heater, on my 2nd day is broken down. On the first day, it is okay. Overall everything is okay. The bed is so comfortable!

One of the worse hotels in Malaysia
The room was dirty, the room was leaking water in the middle of the night..i checked in at 2pm and there were no towels in the room, when i ask the recpetionist, i was told that the towels will only come at 9pm forcing me to not have a shower till 9pm. When 9pm came they told me sorry they cant provide me with a towel. The receptionist is incredibly rude and raised her voice when questioned about the towel. Please remove this hotel from expedia to prevent your advertising compony from loosing profits. There were also exposed wires in the room which poses a hazard for my 3 year old son. If no action is taken on this hotel by expedia. I will have to report this hotel and expedia to the higher authorities. Thank you

Poor Service Front Desk Staff, Broken Door Lock
The front desk lady seems very unhappy at work, doesn't give any smiling face upon check in and check out. Appear sitting at the desk looking at her phone rather than giving me a helping hand to open the main entrance for me seeing me carrying a few luggage. This was my second stay at The Sovereign. This time im staying at G01 and the room door is somehow broken and not good to lock on. I had difficulties to open and lock the door everytime i go in/out. When i request assistance from the lady at front desk, she came after my second time "Inviting" her to check on the door and she even told me " That's nothing wrong with the door, just the way you unlock it wrong". Indeed an unpleasant stay with this kind of service.

Hotel adekwatny do ceny, duży pokój, duża łazienka, ogólnie czysto. Śniadanie w weekend pod hasłem "Kto rano wstaje to śniadanie dostaje" - czyli po 9.00 zostały tylko tosty. W poniedziałek mniej gości to były również owoce, coś na słodko, makaron i przekąski. Hotel w starym domu więc hałas z ulicy - a dodatkowo hala sportowa odkryta - działała nawet do 1 w nocy:( słaby internet w pokoju na koniec Pani z obsługi okazała się bardzo życzliwa /zostawiliśmy plecaki, a po powrocie skorzystali z prysznica i pomocy z zamówieniu taksówki "ubera":)/

BAD ROOM AND VERY NOISE
1.i got the room No. 102 in 1.1 the room very old 1.2 Rest room not have door. 1.3 room so big but Air con. Is to small its make room very hot even i turn on electric fan its cant make anything better **1.4 opposite hotel is footsal club. Sound from there very loundly. I Cant sleep untill there finish played. (Around 2.00 AM.) becuse window no soundproof. 2.the owner very unfriendly. No smile on her face i cant feel warm welcome from here 3.i reserve for 2 night but i stay only first night. Me and friend decide to check out and find new hotel for second night 4.when im check out my friend look at the room on the first floor that i think the same type he told that room is very nice. Restroom have door. And decoration is look better than our room
