Oké hotel met vriendelijk personeel!
Het hotel was best oké gelegen op een centrale lokatie. Het personeel was behulpzaam en vriendelijk, prima ontbijtbuffet en mogelijkheden om te lunchen danwel te dineren voor een betaalbare prijs (met name de eetgelegenheid op de 1ste etage). Minpunten van het hotel waren echter: pedaalemmertje in de badkamer was niet helemaal leeg, de 'gym' is echt een TE kleine ruimte met enkel 3 à 4 apparaten (totaal niet iets wat je van een 'wellness centre' zou verwachten). De excursies die je vanuit het hotel kan organiseren zijn aan te raden, hebben goede ervaring alhoewel deze wel ietwat prijzig zijn.

Novotel Cairo, vlak bij het Tahrirplein, maar toch rustig.
Hele stad goed bereikbaar vanaf hotel. Ondanks de onrust voelden wij ons veilig in het hotel.

Hotel ligt centraal tov veel bezienswardigheden, goede service, interesse in de gast (ook zijn gezondheid, in Egypte soms wel noodzakelijk). Is zeer in trek bij het trouwlustige publiek, gezien de vele partijen (minstens elke dag een). REstaurant sober, bediening eni=gszins chaotisch

Very friendly hotel. Everything was fine and no noise at night unlike some previous reviews. Only issue was not available swimming pool (under renovation) and the quality of the rooftop restaurant.

나일강 뷰는 나쁘지 않으나, 너무 전체적으로 공기가 안 좋아 뷰가 별로입니다. 숙소 방금이 안되어서 밖으로 부터 차량 및 외부소음에 너무 취약하여 민감한 사람이 지내기에는 너무 불편한 호텔입니다. 화장실이 오래 되었구요.. 호텔 베게도 너무 높고.. 체크인 했는데 재떨이에 담뱃재.. 꽁초가 그대로 있었습니다. 수압이 약해서 샤워하기도 불편하고 조식도.. 종류도 너무없고 걍 별로에요.. 첫 후기인데 너무 너무 개인적으로 별로인 호텔이라 후기 남깁니다. 호텔 밖으로만 나가면 너무 너무... 더럽고 좀 그래요... 그냥 카이로에 머무실 꺼면 뉴 카이로 근처로 가세요..

Novotel was the best hotel I have stayed in all countries I have traveled. Property is amazing, staff is very respectful and absolutely amazing. Facilities are great, it’s very comfortable and safe.Dining is also very delicious, our waiter Faud was the definition of a perfect waiter. We highly recommend this hotel 10 stars if possible. Great location, wonderful staff and honest.
Thanks to all at Novotel Cairo El Borg staff. The stay was pleasant and the service was very professional. All the staff members are very helpful and friendly and they give an honest advise. Welcoming and always smiling. The only thing is missing I would say an upgrade to the interior would certainly make it a 5 star. The location is excellent in my opinion.

Hotel was good I loved it, the cleaning crew and restaurant were great. But at checked in the front desk guy had an attitude and I don’t like they manner he spoke to me. A week prior to booking in we contacted the Hotel directly and through Expedia and requested for both our rooms to be next to each other and we were informed that if it is possible they will try and accommodate. Once we arrived at the hotel at 2.00am they did not even have a room reserved for us and the staff at the desk called Osama and his work colleague try to cover up by lying and saying that we are trying to do you a favour by providing you with a sea view room Junior Suit, they tried to squeeze us in 1 room and wanted my son who is 4 years old, 7 months old child, 8 years old child and my mother who is above 50 to squeeze in 1 room with 1 Bathroom which does not lock and the room does not lock therefore as a couple sharing a room with his mother did not have any privacy. On our second day we were informed to come back to the room at 15.00 and we would be allocated a room which disturbed our itinerary and we had to cancel a few of the tourist attractions that we wanted to see. Once we arrived at the hotel at 15.00 we had to wait for another 2 rooms to be allocated to us. This wasted a lot of our time The Tea and coffee amenities never used to be updated regularly. During our stay Yehya even informed me to pay some sort of tax which I had to inform him that we have paid online therefore we should not be paying here.

Nice hotel but poor first aid service
Check-in was a bit chaotic with 20+ guests in reception. We were dealt with fairly quickly but surprised by the government tax of 50 EP per person per night (30 EP = £1). The 7th floor room was clean, spacious and very comfortable, with a large TV, 2 showers and a bath. The view from the bedroom windows was immense, overlooking The Nile. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty with hot and cold choices. The ONLY bad point, which did impact on our stay, was that at the top of the outside car ramp there were automatic retractable bollards. On our first evening we returned from an evening Nile Cruise and as we walked down the ramp the bollards raised without warning (no lights and no sounder) and tripped my partner who tumbled to the floor and badly cutting her shin and knee. The first aid service at the hotel was VERY POOR and we doubt that the first aider had any first aid training whatsoever. His idea of first aid was putting an alcohol wipe over the open cut and sticking it down with a 10cm wide plaster roll. My partner was in severe pain at this point and we asked the first aider to leave and return with a plaster (band aid) that I applied myself. When we checked out reception asked if we enjoyed our stay and I said yes except for the dangerous accident (they never said another word other than "goodbye"). We expected better than that from Novotel.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our one night stay at the hotel. We had booked all non smoking rooms and initially were put on a smoking floor . The hotel does not clearly advertise that they are a “dry” hotel. The rooms were not as clean as we expected. After complaining the staff went out of their way to move us to a non smoking room . Ich hatte das Vergnügen, meinen Aufenthalt im Novotel Elburj Kairo zu verbringen, und ich kann ohne Zweifel sagen, dass dieses Hotel wirklich ein verstecktes Juwel inmitten der pulsierenden Stadt Kairo ist. Von dem Moment an, als ich eintrat, beeindruckte mich das Hotel mit seiner makellosen Sauberkeit. Es war offensichtlich, dass das Hotel kürzlich renoviert wurde, da alles neu und glänzend wirkte, mit einer Kombination aus modernem Design und klassischem ägyptischen Charme. Die Lage des Hotels könnte nicht besser sein, es ist nur einen Steinwurf vom berühmten ägyptischen Museum entfernt und umgeben von einer Vielzahl an Restaurants, die eine Vielfalt an köstlichen ägyptischen und internationalen Gerichten anbieten. Aber was das Novotel Elburj wirklich auszeichnet, ist der atemberaubende Blick auf den Nil. Mein Zimmer hatte direkten Blick auf den Fluss und es war einfach unglaublich, den Tag mit diesem friedlichen und atemberaubenden Panorama zu beginnen und zu beenden. Die Dachterrasse des Hotels ist ebenfalls erwähnenswert. Sie bietet eine unvergleichliche Aussicht auf den Nil und die Stadt, die besonders in der Abenddämmerung unvergesslich ist. Es war der perfekte Ort, um mich nach einem langen Tag voller Entdeckungen zu entspannen und den Blick auf die glitzernden Lichter von Kairo zu genießen. Das Personal im Novotel Elburj war überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit, immer bereit, mit jedem Anliegen zu helfen und sicherzustellen, dass mein Aufenthalt so angene….

La atención del personal en el desayuno es inmejorable , la calidad de los alimentos también , el servicio de ama de llaves también lo es , dejan la habitación muy limpia y muy ordenada . Por otro lado el gerente me estaba cobrando una coca cola de su mini bar lo cual no consumí , su actitud fue pésima y retadora , no le pareció que no aceptara su cobro indebido y nunca pudo dar solución al problema de wifi en mi habitación . El internet en las habitaciones es prácticamente inexistente por lo cual si tienes que trabajar mejor pensar en otras opciones .
