'This place is awesome. I wish we had stayed longer. We stopped here for the night because it is the half way point for the Shimanami Kaido bike route. The residence was an independent structure with a large window looking out to the sea and the bridge. Sunrise was gorgeous. The unit has a beautiful bathroom, very nice bedroom and new clean kitchen. Everything about the residence was top-notch, including the amenities. The breakfast and dinner that we chose were amazing. Loved this place....

'My daughter and I traveled to Japan for two weeks and stayed here in the middle of a 70K Shimanami Bike trip. I wish so much we'd booked an additional night. Of the seven hotels/ryokans we stayed during our trip, this was heads above all the others. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious and the ryokan was quite peaceful. The staff was wonderful- helpful and attentive. If I'm ever lucky enough to return to Japan and visit this area again, I'll return to this lovely property.'

'The property is very nice and well kept traditional Japanese home. I did hit my head being tall but it felt like the most "true" home I had my entire trip. Other guests were very polite and staff was lovely. Convenience store was 10 minute bike ride and they provided plenty of options for dinner if you asked well in advance. '

The view is amazing and the food was very good. Just know that you are really in the countryside and to get to Onomichi it is going to take at least an hour using public transit. Bathtub has an automatic heating feature which was super cool coming from a Canadian who has never seen this before. Super close to the ferry port. 711 met ingang in het hotel.
Tram op 5 minuten lopen.
Genoeg winkels in de buurt. Keuze uit veel restaurants in de omgeving.
Prima uitvalsbasis om hiroshima te ontdekken.
Kamers niet groot maar verder alles aanwezig en schoon. "
"Mooie grote kamer , uitstekende ligging . Foto’s zijn echter bedrieglijk! Zo lojkt de spa ( buitenbad) prachtig; maar stelt het niets voor . Zelfde voor het “restaurant” . Aantrekkelijke reclame, zelfs in de lift ( wijn , tapas , prijzen vermeld ) ….maar gesloten . Alleen een erg schaars ontbijt verkrijgbaar. Ook dit wordt groots geadverteerd, maar zeker westerse items vrijwel niet te krijgen . Wordt niet bijgevuld . Al met al meer potenties dan ze waarmaken."
"Sheraton ligt naast het Hiroshima hotel en heeft veel eet gelegenheden in de buurt. Het hotel is best duur dus verwacht je ook waar voor je geld. De kamers waren prima en schoon een beetje updating zou niet misstaan. Maar het ontbijt buffet liet veel te wensen over. Het was te klein waardoor er lange wachtrijen bij de ingang ontstonden. Wij waren er vaak al om 8:00 uur en toen de yoghurt op was werd er gewoon gezegd deze wordt niet meer bijgevuld. Kwestie van slecht inkoop beleid lijkt mij, je weet dat het druk wordt, schakel daar naartoe. Op een gegeven moment zaten we met een ander Amerikaans stel heerlijk nog na te kletsen het was 9:45 en toen werd ons ook verzocht om weg te gaan. Terwijl er om ons heen nog genoeg mensen zaten maar kennelijk sloot het buffet om 9:30. Wij waren absoluut niet luidruchtig. De mooiste tuin van Japan ligt volgens mij in Horoshima het is de Sukkei-en tuin. Prachtig creatief opgezet."
