'Fantastic hotel a couple of miles out of Pickering. Very friendly host and staff, I couldn't fault it, other than there was no draught ale due to supply problems. The food both at breakfast and dinner was excellent.'

The village is tiny noticed two shops, the butchers and a general store but all this added to the feeling of calmness.
