'Most everything is not accurate with the pictures and descriptions on VRBO. It says private beach. There is no beach! It’s all reeds and debris piled up on shore! The deck has several large holes in it. The view of Little Bay Da Noc is blocked by all the under growth. I believe there are 10 windows downstairs of which only 3 open. The fire pit was full which I had to clean out myself. The walkway down to the beach (which doesn’t exist) is very treacherous especially if you have problems walking...

'Our stay was extremely disappointing. The hotel room floor was so sticky that we felt like we had to keep our shoes on the entire time. The room did not feel clean or well-maintained. The continental breakfast was terrible, with very limited options and poor-quality food. On top of that, the air conditioner was so loud that it made it almost impossible to get a good night's sleep nor was it maintaining a cooler temp. 'Everyone —front desk, housekeeping, and wait staff at Matera were absolutely wonderful! Such great breakfast and dinner food! I stayed for just short of a week to recuperate from surgery and plan to return for a short stay when I have the next surgery. In between I will be back for a breakfast and dinner at Matera. Thanks to all for the wonderful hospitality!'
