Tom is the Host with the Most-est! He greeted us when we arrived earlier than planned, made us tea and helped us settle in to our new stay. Breakfast was wonderful and really set us off on a full belly. Our room was spacious, clean, with a sink, tea area and great TV. We highly recommend this property and Tom! He made our stay in Glasgow extra special. Thanks, Tom!

Host and the lady who makes breakfast/does room service are very nice. The host lives there, which makes the atmosphere have more of a personal touch. At the same time, the host isn’t too in your business. Beautiful Edwardian (?) home. The walls are thick, so you can’t hear the other guests. Very comfortable mattresses with nice goose down pillows and duvets. Do bring your own washcloths and toiletries, also a spare roll of toilet paper, as we ran out in the middle of the night a couple times, which was the only downside.

The food was awful and cheap tasting so didn't eat much and was poorly cooked and prepared. Choice was limited. The breakfast was serve yourself and served at 8.30 which is quite rigid to be honest. No shower gel or soap in the bathroom which is ridiculous to be honest. We saw the host once and he looked flustered and stressed and not particularly welcoming. Neither was the woman who did the breakfasts. I asked for an extra orange juice and some white bread for toast and you would think I was asking for the world. I didn't feel welcomed at all despite paying to stay there. The hosts need to work on their manners and improve their customer service to be honest.

We stayed for 2 nights. We loved the house.it has loads of period features and a great big window on the stairs. Our bed was comfy, and the room big, with a fridge to store our wine. The shower was great, way better than mine at home! Quiet neighbourhood and a quick walk to the train station into town. Tom and Christine were lovely, and the generous breakfast kept us going for ages. We'll be back

Really enjoyed the stay. Tom, the owner was very polite and accommodating. Hotel place about 10 mins walk from busy high street, with a great 8ndian restaurant nearby. A central postition close to the city centre and motorway. Big plus, free car parking.

Our rooms were ensuite, spacious and comfortable and the shower was fine although no toiletries are provided, just hand wash. The house is big and has been grand but is now tired and in need of a lot of updating. There was an oil heater in our bedrooms that was adequate if left on all the time, but the breakfast/sitting room was cold and drab. Having a fridge in the room was helpful for milk, wine etc. and there is a microwave in the living room for guests to use. Tom was very hospitable and down-to-earth. Christine who brought breakfast was also very helpful with local information. If you eat meat, you're ok. For us, we'd have liked a continental breakfast but weren't offered a choice, so a big bowl of bacon and sausages was wasted. Lastly, if you don't know Glasgow, Claremont House is around 1 mile from the city centre. The 38 bus isn't far away but we mostly walked in and then on to the West End for galleries, gardens and food. It was great to get a good feel for the city this way.

A warm welcome and great value - recommended!
We stayed with Tom at Claremont House for the weekend whilst we visited Glasgow for Celtic Connections. We received a warm Glasgow welcome from Tom and he even offered us a cuppa when we arrived. The room we stayed in was spacious, warm, and immaculately clean. There was also a small fridge and tea/coffee-making facilities. Night times were very quiet and we slept well. Breakfast was enjoyable with cereal, yoghurts, and cooked options. This place is great value for money, and a good option if like us we were looking for a traditional guest house experience. There is free parking out front, which is a bonus, and you can get to this place without having to pay for the clean air zone charge.

A spacious and comfortable townhouse B&B. Easy to find and park in street. Even though we arrived early owner very accommodating. Large comfortable room and bathroom. Great to be able to use large living/dining room in evenings for drinks, etc with family. Excellent breakfast included. Glasgow a great surprise. Loved it. Very interesting.

Superb host, room and location
Tom is a charismatic and welcoming host. Bed mega comfy. Room clean. Loads of nice touches like coffee or a beer on arrival and a run down of what’s good nearby. Would 100% recommend for solos or couples. Didn’t try breakfast but always smelt great.

The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable, had a proper couch and armchair; also a sink and small fridge. There was an electrical multi-socket beside the bed for all your gadgets. Parking in the street in front of the property was easy but might be a problem if they are fully booked; limited parking in the driveway. The rooms are not ensuite.

Overall this B&B is quite acceptable and the room we had was ensuite, quite large and very clean. The place is in a very quiet neighborhood but a bit far from the city. It was at least 35 minutes to walk to George Square. The owner is very friendly and will accommodate early arrivals and departures. The breakfast is a full Scottish breakfast and the quantities are more than enough. Fruit and cheese would have been nice but there is yogurt and cereal for a lighter breakfast. Shower gel and shampoo are not provided which we found surprising. For some reason, it was also difficult to get toilet paper. It was clearly forgotten a few times.

Was more than happy for the price paid the guy that ran it was a very friendly fella and very down to earth. The accommodation is very easy to get to 7min walk off the bus 38,38B that same bus takes you 7stops under 10mins into town. 24hr garage up the road opposite a Domino's pizza, subway and a bit along Coop and Iceland supermarket

We enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Tom the owner was a nice friendly guy with some good information of the area. Our room was spacious and clean with tea and coffee and a fridge. Wir haben im Zimmer im Ergeschoss gewohnt. Das Zimmer war in Ordnung, das Bett schön groß und bequem, wobei die Laken fleckig waren und ein Haar drauf zu finden waren. Das Bad war an sich sauber. Im Hauseingang stand eine Menge Zeug herum, besonders waren Stühle mit chaotischen Klamottenbergen belagert, die sich in den drei Tagen, in denen wir da waren, nicht verändert haben. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war etwas seltsam, da er uns zu Beginn gesagt hat, dass er jederzeit da sei und erreichbar sei, wir ihn danach aber nie wieder gesehen haben. Außerdem konnte er uns bei Ankunft nicht direkt sagen, zu welcher Uhrzeit es am nächsten Tag Frühstück geben würde, kam aber auch nicht nochmal auf uns zu, um uns eine genaue Uhrzeit mitzuteilen und war nicht mehr erreichbar. Frühstück gab es dann an einem gemeinsamen Esstisch, das Essen war insgesamt gut und sehr ausreichend (Tipp: bei besonderen Wünschen am besten versuchen, jemanden vorab anzusprechen). Check in war etwas unsicher, da es kein Schild am Äußeren des Hauses gibt und wir nicht wussten, ob wir am richtigen Ort waren. Wir mussten außerdem zweimal klingeln, bis uns jemand auf machte.

Don’t stay here. It’s awful, dirty, run-down. The owner was asleep, couldn’t walk straight, answer questions. Place falsely advertised, fake info and pictures. Really creepy. Worse, we asked for a refund and he refused and asked to remove the listing. We could not believe we were charged and could not be refunded for a property that used phony pictures and lied about the property. Be forewarned!

We did not stay. Entry way cluttered. Sitting room had dirty tea cups that weren’t cleared. Liquor bottle near fireplace on floor. Looked like cleaning hadn’t occurred . Tom, host, complained Expedia should not have booked a single night , that a 2 night minimum required. We felt unwanted and guilty for showing up. How were we supposed to know? We left without staying, but cannot get our money back. Both Expedia and Claremont House a huge dissappointment. Tom, why would you keep a payment you did not earn or provide services for? I see positive reviews for this B&B, but we experienced something far less. Be wary of this B&B. They seem to run hot and cold.

Wir waren sehr freundlich in Empfang genommen worden .tom war sooo freundlich .haben uns sehr wohl gefüllt .thanks for the good time we had with you .Mann wohnt sehr rührig .der Bus Haltestelle ist nur 5 mins zu Fuß weg oder Mann läuft gut 20 Minuten und schon ist Mann in der Innenstadt .der Piper bar hat uns super gefallen live Musik und da kann Mann whisky tasting machen

We would not recommend this place. The house was in derelict condition: messy common areas cluttered with boxes, old appliances, pieces of furniture, host's laundry; dirty walls and carpets, carpets ripped and fixed with a tape; smell of mold; trash in the entrance alley,... There is one bathroom with old shower, sink and toilet that is shared between several rooms. This is not clearly stated on Expedia, you have to look at the fine print to find it out. Breakfast is served on a communal table that is too small to accommodate all guests. You may have to wait or eat on a sofa. The food is copious but with poor quality ingredients. The interactions with the host made us feel uncomfortable. He was essentially complaining about other guests, proposed a beer to our underage son and did not provided clear answer to questions like time of the breakfast, number of people using the same bathroom or time to get to the train station.
