Vieze kamer
Inchecken aan de bar! Je MOET een creditcard als borg hebben!! Anders konden we daar niet slapen zei ze! Dat stond nergens vermeld!! Ver van t centrum! En erg vieze kamer, bad kapot en lampenkappen zaten vlekken op bijv! Slechtste hotel waar ik ooit geslapen heb!

Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding!
Het personeel was heel vriendelijk. Je kon lekker ontbijten en de kamers zijn goes verzorgd. Prima hotel.

Heerlijk ontbijt
Verblijven in The Ivory is erg prettig. Je zit vlak bij een park en op een paar minuten lopen van de bussen naar de stad. Ook de service en het ontbijt waren goed. Helaas wat kleine minpuntjes, zoals dat de schoonmaaksters geen vaste tijden hebben waardoor je soms nog in je kamer bent als ze komen en dat er dus niet wordt schoongemaakt. Ook werd de douche moeilijk warm/koud en zat de wcbril wat los. Een ander minpunt was dat ik vooraf had betaald, maar dat mij bij het uitchecken werd verteld dat dit niet in het systeem stond. Gelukkig had ik bewijs van betaling mee, anders had ik nog is moeten betalen. Over het algemeen dus een prima hotel, met wat kleine minpunten.

Restaurant food was excellent and tasty with friendly helpful staff although it was short staffed in the evenings. The staff were rushed off their feet which made service slow. Other disappointment was no breakfast facility if you are a resident. Rooms need updated and could do with complete refurb, windows need repairing excellent Southside location.

We arrived at the hotel on the 20th of March, we booked three nights staying. However due to the Corona Virus, the government announced at that evening that every restaurant in Bath had to close. The manager in the asked staff are there now

Fantastic hotel. A little old but room well appointed and the meals were fantastic. Within walking distance to Hampden if you are going to the football.

The staff were fantastic the rooms comfortable and spotless. We ate in the restaurant at night the meals were delicious. A great gluten free range also.

Great staff, excellent breakfast.
I booked the Ivory as it was close to where I needed to be for a party. Very pleased I did, first impressions was it was a bit shabby , rip in the curtains , but the bed was very comfortable and despite some traffic noise , the windows have to be closed at least in some of the rooms I had an excellent few nights. The feature for me was the wonderful staff, friendly, courteous and caring. Great breakfast and lovely view of the park from the dinning room. I will definitely stay there again.

Very good value
I booked room only for one night. The hotel provides good basic accommodation at a very reasonable price. The room was fine with everything necessary available and the staff were friendly and helpful. Car parking is available on site and is free.

very nice hotel with huge double room,had lunch on arrival which was good.Perfectly placed for meeting friends in Shawlands ,car parking free at hotel.All in all everything went as planned,will use again.

Comfortable Stay
Good location with ample car parking. Check in is through the bar to a separate desk although you need to wait until someone sees you. Although fully paid took my card away to do pre authorisation “in case I damage the room!” (50+ women on her own) The person was gone with the card out of sight for a few minutes which although I trusted him it still shouldn’t be away from you. Room up two floors of steep stairs, no offer of help with bag. Room clean, modern & comfortable for a night. WiFi didn’t connect and door from bar was open so could hear one male voice loudly for a bit. Windows have been replaced or repaired since my last stay as much quieter.

Ivory hotel, highly recommend.
Huge room, double bed each, spotless and well furnished. Great price booked only the day before. Staff friendly and helpful, got us a taxi. When we returned Joe looked after us in the bar. Very enjoyable, would use again for sure.

I am very disappointed to be asked to pay extra 10.00 pounds for my son I know I have booked a large quad room and there must catching point as to not clearly inform guest who book with the hotel.My family was not please with the hotel. Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review with us, we are deeply disappointed to find your time with us was not what you hoped it to be. To clarify the booking made was for two adults only (during a very well discounted flash sale) this is relfected in the price, not the configuration of the room. It would not be economical for the hotel to have 3 persons staying in the hotel for the price of £40.60, therefore that is why there was a supplement charge for a third person staying in the room. I do hope this explanation allows you to see that we would not try to 'catch' out any partrons of the hotel and we only strive to make the experince of all guests as comfortable as possible. I was visiting family nearby and the Ivory Hotel was convenient. However, I was surprised and delighted by what excellent value for money it proved to be - lovely room, nice bar, great breakfast in the morning for a fraction of the price I would normally expect to pay in Glasgow.

Credit card details
Shocked when person on reception wrote all credit card details inspite paying 100% bill and when inquired he told it's hotel policy to note all credit card details but hotel.com mised to shown at booking time. He assured details will not be misused and only noted to cover any loss and we be destroy after check out and he and owner has only access. Very bad practice on part of hotel for asking confidential cedit card details and hotel.com if not shown their policy at time of booking. Hope now these details will not be misused

Hotel Noise
The hotel was right on the main road which was really noisy with traffic but to be expected for it's location. There was a traditional music session in the pub in the evening (the musicians were excellent, however our room was right above the bar and the music was extremely loud which made it impossible to sleep.

Appears to be a family owned restaurant and hotel. Rooms are nothing to write home about, they’re clean and the bathrooms are good. Decent TV in the room, staff were friendly. The building is very old, and you have to ask for a hair dryer as there isn’t one as standard in the room.
