'Cool historical location with plenty of modern amenities'

'The owner never sent me the door code. I arrived at 5pm (check-in is at 3pm) and realized I had not received arrival instructions so I tried contacting him with no success. I spent about an hour on the front porch trying to figure out what to do. VRBO care team was trying to reach him by phone and never got an answer. The care team was very helpful —they ultimately had to refund me and I ended up at an area hotel instead. '

Hot tub had dirt at the bottom and did not look very clean, so we did not use.Grill did not work properly.Kitchen did not have a frying pan and the pans there weren't very clean. Firepit was nice.
