I was only there for one windy night but noted that the hotel was in a great location with access to the beach and close to several food and shopping options. Staff was very kind.'

'I really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was good. I liked that I could walk out of my room and be on the beach in a few minutes. The gazebo offered great views and the beach was lovely. Very convenient location. The staff were all extremely nice and helpful.'

'Had only 1 working elevator and it stopped working twice during our stay. The first incident, the elevator was not working for almost 12 hours. We were on the 3rd floor and my husband has hip issues. He had difficulty getting up and down the stairs. Plus, we had a non-walking child and she had to be carried up and down the stairs. Our room had several items and trash left from the people before us. The staff was friendly though.'

'Over 5 days, house keeping never made the beds and we ran out of TP twice. Talking with the front desk did no good. One elevator was broken, the maintenance man said it was just fickle. The on site buffet breakfast wanted 20% tip just for your pre payment with credit card. Everything room temperature came out of boxes and was factory wrapped. The hot food (eggs, bacon, sausage) had no flavor. Great hot tub and indoor heated pool, plenty of clean towels in pool area. As expected, the beach...

'Big issue with ac unit that didn't get resolved until our last night. Most of the hotel is dated and in need of a makeover. We did like the location also they need more breakfast choices. Banana and other fruit would be nice.'

'The location is great, we could literally step out onto the beach. The room itself is very basic. The TV wasnt a smart TV so you are limited to a small number of channels. I found the bed and couch to be pretty used, with the paint pealing off the wall in the shower also.'

'It was such a pleasure meeting Bill and Veda during our stay! They were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us a delicious breakfast each morning and even packing up extra fruit for us to take to the beach, which was such a thoughtful touch. The place itself is beautiful, cozy, and made us feel right at home. For our first visit to the Outer Banks, we truly couldn't have picked a better place to stay.
