We had a lovely stay overall. The house is a very sweet beach house in a beautiful location, close to the beach with decent-sized waves, which we really enjoyed.There were some issues with cleanliness on arrival. The dust present was not just day-to-day dust, but a significant accumulation, with old items left behind by previous guests found under the beds and couch. As a result, I did need to spend time cleaning during our stay.I would like to note that once I contacted the property manager, she responded immediately, was extremely apologetic, and offered a cleaning discount, which was appreciated. She also would have been more than happy to arrange for someone to come out and clean the property while we were there.Guests should be aware that the area does have a large number of mosquitoes, which did become uncomfortable on some evenings, so this may not suit those who are sensitive or allergic. On the positive side, the wildlife was lovely — there were kangaroos and rabbits frequently seen around the streets and nearby homes.It’s also worth noting that food options are limited. During our stay, the local fish and chip shop was not open, and there is only a small local shop and a restaurant that appears to open on Saturdays. Bringing your own supplies or being prepared to travel around 30 minutes to the nearest town is recommended.Overall, a charming beach stay with a great location, but with a few things to be aware of when planning your visit.
