'Beautiful old house on quiet street within walking distance of Kennebunkport centre. The house is full of character and has welcoming hosts. The room (The Study) was downstairs and we were the only guests that night, so was very peaceful. Breakfast was cooked by Chris and was delicious.

'I was looking for a resort on the Maine coast that was dog friendly and the Colony Hotel knocked it out of the park. The facilities are fantastic, beautiful views and a brief walk to downtown Kennebunkport. Lots of dogs families and couples, young and old. We will likely come back every summer from now on.'

The rooms look old-fashioned, but it’s part of the vibe. It was nice that they had coffee and muffins every morning, and you could go out on the big giant porch and just sit and relax and look at the ocean as you drink your coffee.
