'Beautiful old house on quiet street within walking distance of Kennebunkport centre. The house is full of character and has welcoming hosts. The room (The Study) was downstairs and we were the only guests that night, so was very peaceful. Breakfast was cooked by Chris and was delicious.

The hotel was clean, easily accessible, and included a parking which is definitely needed. The Kennebunk area is very busy and in town driving could be hectic. Reservations for dinning and probably anything else should be done in advance. '

'I liked that at night the only way to get into the hotel was with a swipe card, nobody works at the front desk during those night hours so I felt safe. Parking was great and just walking in the area around to get to the restaurants and shopping was really easy.'

'I was looking for a resort on the Maine coast that was dog friendly and the Colony Hotel knocked it out of the park. The facilities are fantastic, beautiful views and a brief walk to downtown Kennebunkport. Lots of dogs families and couples, young and old. We will likely come back every summer from now on.'
