'The hotel is easily reached by bus from either Derby or Nottingham. However, if you plan to do a lot of sightseeing in the area, it's probably best to have your own car. In spite of its proximity to M1, the hotel is set in a quiet and pleasant location. Most of the staff was very kind and helpful: one of them was on the same bus as us when we arrived, and kindly walked us from the bus stop to the hotel. 'We absolutely loved our stay from beginning till almost the end. When we arrived we were told by the male staff member that breakfast was included. At check out that turned out not to be the case. We should have checked ourselves, but the insincere apology from the manager is the reason why we left somewhat disappointed.'

'Rooms very spacious and immaculately clean, very well designed and definitely worth the little extra considering nearly purple palace was £160 a night because there was a show on, multi storey carpark a few mins walk away and motorpoint arena is about 5 mins walk so works great if your going to a show and want to make a night of it, would definitely recommend '

'Although many stars given by me, my all in all result is 3 stars because of the all day long (24/7) heavily humming noise I heard in my room. Luckily I had a couple of earbuds with me that I was going to use during a pop concert, so I didn't hear the noise during my sleep. My room was a single person room, number 31. So if you get that one offerred, immediatly ask for another room.'

'Really friendly and helpful hosts and the chalets are finished to a very high standard. Lovely and peaceful with a really comfy bed. Didn’t find fault with anything during my stay and would definitely recommend to others and stay again if I’m in the area. 10/10'
