Nice little nature trail on Quartz Mountain. Turn in to a little residential area to get to the trailhead on the North East side of town right by the mountain.
This place is not far from my home, so I spend a lot of time here hiking all the trails, camping, mountain climbing, and photography. They have golf, putt putt golf, water slide, paddle boats and canoes, carnival, cabin rentals, and lots of wildlife. Definitely worth a look see! #SpringFun

King Mountain is a great hike to the top, though never an easy one. There is a radio station tower on top, and I actually encountered several workers when I got to the top, they have to hike up also each time they have to work on the tower. Great views of the lake and mountains. There are a couple of places to park right beside the mountain. Watch out for the irrigation canal and stay away from it when it is running, it has a syphon that will suck you under and drown you. There is also a small cave on the side of the mountain that is a nice and cool spot on a hot day.
