'The Gold Miner's Inn is very clean and nicely decorated. The rooms have plenty of room and a comfortable bed. The staff are very friendly and they offer water for your room as well as a nightly glass of wine downstairs in the main entry room.

'The room was filthy. I have stayed in many Best Westerns across the country, traveling with my dogs, and have never stayed in a hotel room that dirty. I was not traveling with pups, so I did not ask for an animal room. The bathroom tile was filthy, as was the carpet; no bare feet in the room. 'I stayed at Sierra Mountain Inn for three nights and had a great experience. The stay was very comfortable, peaceful, and enjoyable from start to finish. The property was clean and well maintained, and the location was perfect for a relaxing getaway. Everything went smoothly during our stay, and the overall atmosphere made it feel very welcoming. 'This historic building has been thoughtfully updated, preserving all of its original architectural features. Very attentive staff, with a nice restaurant and bar. The upstairs lounge area is a great spot to enjoy.
No elevator, no complaints; it’s over 150 years old. Small rooms are expected, but the room was comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed and upgraded. Needs more electrical outlets, so consider bringing your outlet strip. No TV, no problem.
Nevada City is a fun little town.'
