'Charming. Clean room with a historic feel of route 66. It is a traveler's lodge. Fridge noisy, walls are thin so bring earplugs if you're bothered. The town has limited food service, so plan accordingly. Check days restaurants are open. I loved the view of trees. Old church and buildings. Charming. I will return'

'Going back in time!! Very friendly staff. A great place to stay! Not the modern stuff, no TV at the room! WiFi is ok. Just one hour away from SF. And an whole other world! Like going back to the 60ies!!'

'Loved the tower room with the brick walls and very comfy chaise longue. Nice and quiet. Bed was a little hard for my taste. Watched the 4th of July fireworks from the back stairs. Enjoyed the fire pit. Breakfast was okay. Coffee nice and strong. Good location. Could walk everywhere. Easy free parking.'

'This is a charming old-world experience in a well-maintained hotel set in the redwoods beside the Russian River. Rooms are smalll, but clean and comfortable. We had a balcony overlooking the river, which we enjoyed. The staff was helpful and friendly. The owner is obviously very proud of his establishment and dedicated to making it a good experience for his patrons. The breakfast is ample. The attached restaurant provides a German cuisine.'

'Charging for parking is ridiculous. It’s not even a secure parking lot. Rooms are old, but clean and some updates. It really is more like a motel with no interior hallways and rooms facing the parking lot on all sides. I do appreciate that the prices have not been jacked up like some of the other hotels in the area that are just simple hotels.'
