'Location was perfect for a conference we attended in Lowell. Plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. Staff was friendly and was able to fix a shower handle problem promptly. Property was clean and well maintained. Room was very clean and amenities were good. A/C unit seemed to be either working too cold or not cool enough although we didn’t address the issue with front desk as we spent very little amount of time in the room during our stay. I do think the cleanliness of the hotel room could’ve been better during my stay I discovered the previous guest wash cloth still hanging from the bathroom curtain rod with a foul odor and body hair, and previous trash in the room, that didn’t really give me confidence that the room was cleaned. 'Our room was filthy. The carpet was dirty, sticky and had an iron burn mark deep in the pile , the corners where carpet meets the walls were embedded with black crud. Behind the beds was caked on years of dust and dirt. 'My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the Groton Inn. After an unfortunate experience at another hotel nearby, the Groton Inn truly saved the day, and I’m so glad we found it.
