'Lovely hotel Brilliant spa facilities'

'Shocking hotel! The room was filthy and in a really bad state of repair. We refused to stay in the first room they gave us which was in the roof space. I don't understand how hotels are allowed to operate like this. If it was a restaurant they would be shut down by the foog hygiene agency. It ruined our weekend. I will be emailing the hotel directly with photos of the room. Would the owners stay in these rooms? I think not. Even the grand staircases are filthy.'

'This is a lovely hotel full of character. Yes it looks a little scruffy on the outside but the inside is good. Every member of staff was pleasant & helpful especially on the front desk for checking in & out. 'I arrived at the Hideaway and was able to park right opposite the entrance to unload. I was pleased to find the accommodation wonderfully clean, compact but extremely well equipped and furnished. All the equipment was easy to use and the central heating was on with instructions detailing how to use. As we had a very cold spell with snow it was great to be able to come home to a warm space and to be able to dry wet coats. 'Great location of the property, near the beach. A steep walk back from the beach unless you walk into Filey. Lovely comfortable flat, super comfy bed. Great bathroom/shower. Everything you would need for your holiday. It was lacking instructions for using coffee machine, & dishwasher etc. due to all information being online.'
