We spent our last few nights in St. Lucia here, and will have a lifetime of memories as a result. The property itself is incredible, with panoramic views of the ocean, Martinique, Pigeon Island, and the coastline. This is truly outdoor luxury living. There are four secure, private, air-conditioned bedrooms, each with a private bath. They are connected via a covered, but open-air common area, which leads to a (also covered) outdoor kitchen and dining area.
As wonderful as the villa itself is, the grounds are even more spectacular! It's clear that it has been a labor of love for the owners as they have renovated the home and grounds, which sit on the (still visible) ruins of the fort used by the French during battles with the British in the 1800s. The staff prepared breakfast for us each morning, and brought fresh fruit and coconuts from the bountiful fruit trees on the property. Sharon even made us some breadfruit (try it!) and helped our girls add some "cornrows" to their hair.
Matthew and Zaneia were very communicative as property managers, too, and helped us feel right at home.
Although you may never feel the need to leave the beautiful gated grounds and pool, there are lots of things to do in the area - Reduit Beach, Pigeon Island National Park, water sports, etc. are all just a few minutes away by car, and there are excellent grocery stores within 10 minutes, too. If you are staying in the north, it's worth a visit to the south (Pitons, etc.), too, and you can easily get a "water taxi" from Reduit Beach to take you there in 30-40 min (much quicker than the 90 minute drive, though it's a beautiful drive through the mountains, too).
Can't say enough good things about Morne Trulah and St. Lucia - thanks for a great stay!
