We had a king bed and the room was large and the bathroom had a nice tub and shower and a nice balcony that looked over the pool. 'I am a middle aged woman travelling solo. The room was perfect and secure. The pool is not designed for lounging in the sun, but great for a dip. Tortuga Bay is about a 45 minute walk on a well maintained path. When you get to the beach, go to he right and walk to the end where you’ll find a path through the mangrove and opens up to a calm pool like swimming area with shade trees and great snorkelling. Very safe to venture out anytime to explore the town, enjoy some wine and walk home. '

'Our 10 night stay at family-owned Hotel Mainao was delightful and memorable. We enjoyed its beautiful Barcelona-inspired architecture, striking mosaic tile motifs, clean rooms and an expansive terrace overlooking a quaint, quiet street. 'Super clean. Nicely decorated, loved the floors and tiles. Bedroom was spacious although there was a king and a full. The owner was nice and helpful, offered packed breakfast early one day we had a super early tour. There was an issue with our boat to change island so we couldn't leave and he immediately allowed us to stay in our room untill everything was solved, well after checkout time, and accommodated us in the same room for a final extra night.'
