'We had a fantastic stay at Frank & Val's place on Heckman's Island. The river is so peaceful to wake up to at sunrise with the sound of loons, and we were also greeted each dawn by deer quietly roaming around the cottages. There were lots of great movies for the kids to enjoy, and we really appreciated all of the complimentary, organic & unscented amenities provided in the kitchen, laundry and bathroom. Highly recommend this location for your stay in the Lunenburg area!'

'The cottage was spotless and very well appointed. Especially the kitchen: came supplied with both pod and drip coffeemakers - and coffee along with some other staples. Communication with the owners was clear and timely. While the property lot runs down to the sea at Western Shore, the cottage was not truly "ocean front". It is set back from the ocean a bit but we could sit right beside the sea. Lovely!'

The location is outstanding and the view out of every window looks like a picture postcard. Peggy's Cove is the quintessential seaside fishing village and we loved every minute of our time there. 'Ruim huis direct aan de baai, met terras aan het huis én nog een direct op het water. Van die laatste wil je nooit meer weg. Eb en vloed, zon en wolken, en vooral: aalscholvers en meeuwen die rustig op de stenen in het water zitten, totdat er één landt met een verse krab. Geschreeuw en gedoe van jewelste. Tot de volgende krab. Huis heeft slaapplaatsen in soorten en maten. Beneden twee kleinere kamers, boven twee grote bedden in een open ruimte, te beklimmen met steile, zeer stevige trap....

'Beautiful home! Ultra clean! Floor to ceiling windows along the entire front of the house! Perfect views of the bay every day, regardless of the weather. Secluded, but there are neighbors behind. The host was amazing. So welcoming, so friendly, kind and helpful. We arrived late on a rainy, foggy night. Too late to stop at a store.
