'foute ontvangst, erg lang moeten wachten voordat we eindelijk in onze kamer konden, chaos overal, de manager zei dat t druk was, hoogseizoen, of we daar begrip voor konden hebben. eigenlijk niet, we betalen voor de kamer, maandenlang is bekend dat we komen, dat is de job als je in het hotelwezen werkt. Manager pakte het totaal verkeerd aan, ging met ons discussieren, onnnodig! hotel was verder prima, keuken ook. De receptioniste Nicole en de waitress uit Lockerbie waren erg proffesioneel...

'The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. My room for one person was spacious and comfortably. . I loved the small kitchen and the crumpets and jam ! The only minus point was there was no airco and the room was very warm even with the 2 fans that were provided on full.'

'The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update...

'We only stayed for one night so didn’t bother to ask for an upgrade, but I think you should. We stayed in a not yet renovated room and it was definitely not worth the money. It felt more like a run down youth hostel than a 3 star hotel. Bar and restaurant area are updated and that looks promising for the rest of hotel. Would only return if I knew rooms are renovated.'

'The hotel is located near the train station. Carlisle in itself gave me an unpleasant feeling. After 7 pm all shops and almost all restaurants were closed and I noticed som people gathering near the station. Hotel staff however gave me a nice welcome and an overall safe feeling.'

'Prima hotel! Ik verbleef voor een nachtje. De faciliteiten zijn enorm verouderd maar het bed ligt heerlijk, de douche is lekker en het personeel is lief! (Oh en het ontbijt is echt top!!!!).'
