'The Solway Lodge was a welcoming place to stay. Lovely staff, nice food and a very welcome drink after travelling down from Fife. We stopped off on our way back home. The room was huge, recently renovated, comfortable. We were able to move our car right outside our room which was fab. Thank you. We will be returning.'
'We only stayed for one night so didn’t bother to ask for an upgrade, but I think you should. We stayed in a not yet renovated room and it was definitely not worth the money. It felt more like a run down youth hostel than a 3 star hotel. Bar and restaurant area are updated and that looks promising for the rest of hotel. Would only return if I knew rooms are renovated.'

'A lovely place to stay in a quiet, pretty village surrounded by lovely countryside. The staff were excellent and so friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the room was decorated to a high standard. I appreciated the fridge with cold bottles of water and fresh milk. The breakfast was substantial and tasty (I loved the vine tomatoes). I would definitely recommend The Sally to friends.'
