'It wasn't up to what I expected '

'The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. My room for one person was spacious and comfortably. . I loved the small kitchen and the crumpets and jam ! The only minus point was there was no airco and the room was very warm even with the 2 fans that were provided on full.'

'We have stayed at The Powfoot Hotel as a stopover on the way to our final destination in Scotland. It is an absolute gem. Of course there are newer and plusher hotels but this place takes some beating for its idyllic location, courteous and professional service, cleanliness, comfort and good value restaurant. Well done all of you at The Plowfoot Hotel, you have put this place firmly on the map for us.'

'The hotel is located near the train station. Carlisle in itself gave me an unpleasant feeling. After 7 pm all shops and almost all restaurants were closed and I noticed som people gathering near the station. Hotel staff however gave me a nice welcome and an overall safe feeling.'

'Booked room was not made up, but problem rapidly resolved with an immaculate room and an upgrade. '

'Prima hotel! Ik verbleef voor een nachtje. De faciliteiten zijn enorm verouderd maar het bed ligt heerlijk, de douche is lekker en het personeel is lief! (Oh en het ontbijt is echt top!!!!).'

'Parking car was easy. A little bit of a walk into town.Meals in the restaurant were average. Not the best Premier Inn we have stayed at.'
