'Lovely venue, with a great lake view. House was clean, and check in was easy. Comfortable beds and bedding. A wonderful overnight stay for our group of 10.Minor complaint about some of the cleaning up items available (there were no dishwasher tablets available, so had to pop to the shop in the morning of check out to get some) Also there was no cork screw bottle opener so I couldn't open a bottle of wine :-(Otherwise it was a great experience'

'The property, although warm and dry, could do with a thorough deep clean. Everything looked tired. There were knick knacks decorating the lounge and ugly stuffed toys. Considering we are charged a cleaning fee it was very disappointing. The bedding appeared clean although no top sheets on the bunks. Two face clothes for our entire family of four was ridiculous and 1 teatowel for the enire weekend. Was insufficient. After paying over 900 for the 2 day stay we wrre left underwelmed. 'Absolutely stunning property in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Fantail Lodge is the perfect place to relax and unwind, with gorgeous surroundings and so much attention to detail. A fantastic host who made us feel incredibly welcome and added to an already wonderful stay. We absolutely loved our time here and would highly recommend Fantail Lodge to anyone visiting Rotorua.'

However the drive way was so steep that our standard Corolla grounded so hard we had to park at the McDonald’s next door a higher SUV tho would be ok can I suggest that if possible the top of the drive be flattened a bit. The house was very good value and the instructions spot on so aside from the drive a very good value for money stay Thanks'

'Terrific stay, highly recommend. Joe and Cynthia are fantastic hosts. Our family of five visited NZ from California. This was one of our favorite stays on the trip. Enjoy the four bedrooms and all the amenities - kayaks for the lake, pool, hot tubs, gym, trampoline, basketball hoop, etc. '
