Do yourself a favor and put this place on your list if you are looking for a great place to stay in Hanoi. The city can be a bit overwhelming -- and other travelers had told me that the Old Quarter can be noisy at night. Sky Charm is ideally located -- close enough to walk but far enough away as to be quiet and comfortable. In addition, the property sits on a "side street" where 3 short avenues come together -- mostly foot traffic (with an occasional shooter.) This block has many venues (street food, sit-down restaurants, bars, salons, etc.) just steps away from the hotel and in relaxed environments. It was fun to just stroll outside to get a quick bite to eat or a drink -- people watching is always fun! The breakfast buffet was well-prepared, extensive, and delicious. Rooms are comfortable and functional -- the showers in particular were top-notch. But the real stars of this property are the staff, all of whom were friendly and efficient in their tasks. The folks at the front desk were OUTSTANDING -- super-patient with my lack of Vietnamese, helpful in their suggestions, and informative regarding nearby tours/excursions. I felt like a guest who was welcomed, not just a customer -- their collective attention and demeanor truly made for a great stay and one that I will remember for years to come. I can't wait to come back again!
