  • Cottage met vier slaapkamers te huur. Gelegen 12 mijl ten noorden van Harbor Springs op schilderachtige M-119 (de nationaal bekende "Tunnel of Trees") in Good Hart, Michigan. Geweldig gebied voor fietsers (laatste etappe van de DALMAC-fietstocht).

    Wij geven de voorkeur aan zaterdag tot zaterdag verhuur in juni-augustus.

    Bijna 2.000 m², het huis biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de zonsondergang, Lake Michigan vanuit de meeste kamers. Vier slaapkamers, drie volledige badkamers - inclusief de hoofdslaapkamer met een kingsize, luxueus bed met pillowtop-bed, 1.000 beddegoed, een inloopkast en een aangrenzend bad. Er zijn twee queensize bedden met pillowtop-bed en nog een dubbel bed met pillow-top bed in de resterende drie slaapkamers. Eigentijdse afgewerkte kelder.

    Het huis heeft drie aparte woonruimtes, waardoor grote familiebijeenkomsten mogelijk zijn.

    Keuken heeft een koelkast en gas oven / bereik, vaatwasser en magnetron, wasmachine en droger, 4 HDTV's door het hele huis (inclusief 62 'inch met surround sound stereo-installatie in de kelder). Er zijn twee tv's uitgerust met Apple TV en twee met Roku (beschikbaar om Netflix, Hulu, HBO Now etc. te streamen plus lokale tv-kanalen) en Blu-Ray dvd-spelers, vier stereosystemen en kelderruimte met pingpongtafel en kaarttafel - het aanbieden van alle comfort van thuis. Snelle draadloze internetverbinding door het hele huis. Beddengoed, badhanddoeken, kook- en eetgerei geleverd door cottage-eigenaar.

    Huis gelegen 400 voet van de weg op zwaar beboste 5 + hectare veel biedt afgelegen privacy. Strand easement gelegen onder onroerend goed voor toegang tot het privéstrand. Twee, township-stranden binnen een mijl van cottage. Deze toegangspunten zorgen voor mooi kammen op het strand. Tal van openbare en semi-privé golfbanen op korte rijafstand. Recreatieve meren op het land (Burt Lake, Crooked Lake, Pickerel Lake, Larks Lake, Douglas Lake en anderen) in de buurt.

    Leuke unieke winkels en General Store met op loopafstand.

    Slechts 20 minuten van Boyne Highlands golf en skiën.

    Zeven mijl ten zuiden van de beroemde Legs Inn, Cross Village. Acht mijl ten noorden van Pond Hill Farm en Harbor Springs Winery. Geniet van glasblazen bij Good Hart Glass Works of knutselen bij Three Pines Studio.

We enjoyed our stay at the house with our large family of young adults/older teens. The area is quiet but close enough to action if you want it. We loved the Church beach and spending time on the outside deck. We would stay again.

Quiet place in the woods

It was a nice quiet place in the woods with a view of Lake Michigan. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes and pans. There were useful things like spices and dish soap and laundry soap. We enjoyed the ping pong table and the gaming table and it was nice to have a table big enough for puzzles that wasn't also where we had to eat. Sunset on the deck was very nice! We saw a lot of deer. The "church beach" was just what we needed.

We had a great time in the quiet hamlet of Good Hart. The back yard was full of wildlife, beautiful trees, fantastic deck with grill and comfortable seating. The house was comfortable, clean and well stocked. Nice walk to the two beaches and all kinds of hiking/walking trails. The view of Lake Michigan was over the top.

This is a beautiful piece of property overlooking Lake Michigan sunsets. The house has plenty of cooking area with a well-supplied kitchen. The three full bathrooms makes group living easy. The beds are comfortable. There are plenty of sitting areas both inside and outside. There is plenty of outside space for lawn games. Access to the lake is an easy car ride away but can be walked if you don't mind a hill. Our group has been there 3 years in a row and has already signed up for our 4th year.

Clean, comfy, cozy cottage with amazing sunset view

The cottage was the perfect location for our family gathering. There was abundant space and comfy beds for 6 adults. The sunset deck and fire pit were great and used each day to enjoy mother nature’s end of day show. The beach is a quick 4 minute drive away. The Good Hart store is a 5 minute walk away. If you are looking for a relaxing, nostalgic stay in Good Hart this spot is a great choice!

Well organized, beautiful house . Plenty of space to leave hobbies and books in progress in between hikes. We enjoyed meals at small local restaurants a few times. Everything I want for cooking and baking is provided. Sunsets are beautiful.

Peaceful by the lake

Windward is a clean, comfortable cottage with amazing views of Lake Michigan. Lots of nice kitchen utensils, tools for cooking and baking. Watching birds, going for hikes, long bicycle rides (and space to work on the bike on the porch). Hubbie saw Northern Lights for the first time. Friendly, interesting small businesses and restaurants nearby.

Property was clean and very roomy. A bit outdated but had a rustic charm. Overall, the accommodations were very good in meeting our needs. Access to the beach was a bit farther away than we would have preferred, but the beach was spectacular! Beach was sandy spacious with no rocks. We all enjoyed our stay! Thank you. :-)

Relaxing

We loved the overall comfortable homeyness of this house. We all agreed it felt lived in, and was loved, not sterile. Plenty of supplies, and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoy preparing some meals in and we had everything we needed. The beds were all very comfortable. Loved the outdoor seating, the swing esp, and watched some gorgeous sunsets. The beaches and adorable shops were super close by. Our hostess was immediately responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommended, and would go back in a heartbeat.

Warm, large cabin along the Tunnel of Trees

This home is located (in the woods just off SR119) about half-way along the Tunnel of Trees, and convenient for excursions to Mackinaw City, Harbor Springs, and Petoskey. With 4 bedrooms, it can easily house 8 adults. It is incredibly well equipped with everything we needed to cook and play. The owner was helpful and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed hikes in several nearby state parks, shopping in up-scale stores, and dinners in very good restaurants within 1/2 hour drive. We would certainly consider staying here again.

Peaceful sunsets!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunset View. cottage. Plenty of room, even for a larger group, with two living areas and a basement game room. Nice bedrooms, large kitchen with everything you might need, and nice clean bathrooms. The backyard was the place to be, on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. The view from the deck was so relaxing, the sunsets are beautiful! We weren't quite sure about how to get to the lake access, but figured it out with help from Patricia. You drive just around the block to an easement, and walk down a short path to the nice, sandy beach. Somewhat pebbly/rocky areas in the water, so water shoes might be helpful. Check in was easy, and Patricia was very prompt at answering any questions we had. Hopefully we will be back next year!

Excellent Getaway

Good Hart captured our hearts with their incredible friendly neighbors and shop owners. The beaches were beautiful, everything we could have wanted and imagined it would be. The home was clean and roomy for our family, and very well stocked. Although not directly on the water, we were less than 2 miles driving distance, which worked out well. Thank you, Pat, for opening your home to us and allowing our family to create memories that will surely last a lifetime. We would recommend Good Hart and this location to others and hope to return soon!

We love this place. The house easily sleeps 7 and can accommodate 8 adults. The house has plenty of kitchen items for eating, cooking, drinking. It is up a long drive that removes you from traffic noise. The spacious grounds gives a wonderful view of Lake Michigan. The sunsets are spectacular. The outside area has a high end grill. The deck has 2 tables making outside eating enjoyable. There is a nice fire pit supplied with cut wood. This was our second time staying at this home and we are already reserving our stay for 2025.

Beautiful view

Everything was good all eight of us had a great time. Loved the sunset. We couldn’t understand the way down to Lake Michigan. The bathroom, kitchen and Bedroom were clean. but need to do something about the mildew smell. Windows needed a little attention. But that was just me I have cleaned houses for 40 years . Overall I would give it a 4 star. The host was great Thank you Jody

Don't miss out

I will start by saying this was our 8th consecutive year staying at this property. The house is well appointed, well maintained, cozy and CLEAN. Multiple Living rooms to allow folks to have their space, as needed. But, you won't want to be indoors unless it's raining or your tired because the backyard, overlooking Lake Michigan is a small slice of heaven. As is the local beach(by the church) and surrounding areas. It is the quintessential Up-North experience for us. The owner is always responsive and on the rare occasions unexpected things have occurred they are quickly resolved. My family has created a lot of wonderful memories over the years and we continue to look forward to making our way back to this home in Good Hart.

Peaceful, crazy weather in May

Packed shorts and mittens, needed them both. Two days over 85! And then it went into the 40’s. You’ll never tire of the view at this cottage. The family provides lots of dishes & cookware, as well as storage stuff. We’ve stayed here before. Strangely, this time I found a plate of cooked bacon in the microwave & Spouse removed a large shard of glass from the garbage disposal. I do not hold the hosts or housekeeping responsible for this, the towels had fancy hotel folding this year. The internet service was strong enough for all our devices. The porch is great for bicycle repair. I set up my sewing machine in the living room so I can see the lake while I work on. my quilting. Windward is very special, we hope to return again. Thanks, Pat for making it available.

Great house with nice views for a relaxing stay

We really enjoyed our stay. We had no problems at all; communication with the host and access to the house were perfect.The house is comfortable and plenty big enough for even a big group to spread out. The only issue with a bigger group might be that the indoor dining area can only handle about six adults. The outdoor spaces are very pleasant; we really enjoyed time on the deck overlooking Lake Michigan, and there is plenty of space out there for even a large group to sit down together. One thing to be aware of is that while there is an easement to allow beach access (which we used several times) you can't easily walk there from the house. It's just a few minutes' drive, but a rather round-about walk that probably would take 15 minutes. So you can't just pop back and forth between the beach and the house. Still, the beach is very pleasant and the fact that it's private makes it less crowded than the public beaches nearby.

Rare find

This property exceeded our expectations. The house was well appointed. The kitchen was fully stocked. It was a comfortable and pleasant space. The grounds were spacious. There were several group seating options. The deck and firepit were our favorite spots. The view of the lake and sunset were outstanding. We competed for the best sunset shot. The trip down to the lake is easy, taking only a few minutes. There are several beaches in the area all competing for best beach. The location on the Tunnel of Trees was a beautiful and great jump off spot to visit the neighboring areas. There was lots to do. We were a group of 6 guys and there was something for everyone. The bicyclers, golfers, kayakers, beach walkers, and sunbathers were all happy. The management was easily available, offering quick solutions and suggestions for our needs.
