'A good place to stay that is extremely well situated, a few steps away from the central ghat where we can see Artii ceremony and also centrally located to go walk in old town or to the south. Front desk person was very welcoming and nice. I received a lot of touristic information although I already had a guide. You have to walk a little bit to get there but they send someone to show the way and help with luggage. For the price, it is perfect. There is AC in the room and hot water for shower.'

'I recently stayed here, and it was honestly such a lovely experience. The location is perfect, just a short walk from Dashashwamedh Ghat, which made everything so convenient. The place is very clean, hygienic, and well-maintained, especially considering the nominal price. What truly made our stay special was the warm hospitality of Ajit Yadav, who took care of everything and made us feel completely at home. We genuinely loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting...

'Nice hotel - we were there during a busy holiday so price was no doubt a bit higher but good location, walkable to many areas and the river. Staff was really nice. Room was clean. Only slight downsides were the sandals in the room were clearly used but they provided daily paper slippers. Also, bathroom design is a bit funny where you walk through the shower area to get to the toilet and sink. Thus, after a shower, you have to walk through a wet floor and also the sink/toilet area gets wet. But,...

'Great hotel, totally recommend it, staff is excellent, unmatched hospitality.'

'I am often in Varanasi for work, and always stay at te Diamond. It is near both to the center city and riverfront and to the university and yet quickly accessible to the route to the airport and train station. The staff are helpful, from arranging cars for longer road trips to providing all the necessities of a hotel stay. The rooms are quite large, and the bathrooms have recently been remodeled, a further plus. The restaurant is good.'

'The property is in the very narrowed lane of "Bangali Tola", which is a very dirty & congested area & you have to reach there walking long, asking here & there for the exact building but after reaching, your all anxiety will be relieved with the smiling appearance of 'Dilip', the boy who is always at your service to make your stay happy. This is actually a very ordinary staying destination for mediocre people, who plans to stay in Varanasi at low cost. The owner of the Guest House is Mr. Pradip...

'The room was on ground level and the window was too close to garbage to leave open.'

'Very nice and helpful staff, very clean room with hot shower'

'I went on a solo trip to Banaras and booked my stay at Gangotri. The hospitality truly surprised me. The owner and staff are very kind, helpful, and welcoming. I was really impressed with the facilities. The room was clean and hygiene was well maintained, which made me feel comfortable and safe as a solo traveler. Overall, it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Banaras — it’s totally worth it!'

'I will divide my review into Pros and Cons: Pros: 1. The guesthouse rooftop has good view of the ghat. The roof top restaurant also has good ambience and view. 2. The food at the rooftop restaurant is made fresh and is good. 3. The guesthouse is right on the ghat so easy access if you want to take a dip in the Ganga. Cons: 1. The stairs to rooms are extremly steep and not well designed. If you have elderly people in your family or with knee problems then you will have a lot of problems...
