1805 Boerderij Luxe Renovatie in Harpers Ferry

Renovatie voltooid in mei 2019. Iets meer dan een uur van Baltimore en DC, deze locatie heeft het allemaal. De Appalachian Trail, het historische Harpers Ferry National Park, en tientallen wijnhuizen en brouwerijen liggen allemaal op enkele minuten van de boerderij. Het heeft zelfs een wijnkelder met originele stenen muren!

De ruimte

We hebben deze historische boerderij gerenoveerd om een luxe oase te creëren. U krijgt het beste van rustieke originele houten vloeren en logwanden in combinatie met het comfort van gloednieuwe bijgewerkte badkamers, samen met tijdschriftwaardige meubels. Als kunstliefhebbers vindt u originele schilderijen, vintage posters en andere kunstwerken door het hele huis. Alle gloednieuwe verf, verlichting en meubilair overal. Elke slaapkamer heeft een gloednieuwe schuimrubber matras die we gebruiken in al onze eigenschappen en zijn een favoriet van de gast!

Outdoor entertainment - De boerderij ligt op 2 hectare met een prachtig uitzicht op de vijver. Er is een grote leistenen patio met lounge zitplaatsen voor 10, een vuurplaats, en onze persoonlijke favoriet - de omhullende veranda. De veranda is uitgerust met Sonos-buitenspeakers, schommelstoelen, een schommelbank, een enorme geborgen eettafel met zitplaatsen voor 12 personen en een enorme Weber-grill. We hebben ook een gloednieuwe basketbalring op de oprit! Horseshoe pit coming soon.

Keuken en eetkamer - Roestvrij stalen apparatuur, marmeren werkbladen en restauratie Hardware meubilair. Enorme ronde eettafel voor 10 personen. De keuken is volledig gevuld voor al uw kookbehoeften met voorzieningen zoals een blender, een broodrooster, een koffiezetapparaat met druppelaar en een Nespresso-apparaat. De eetkamer heeft een houtkachel zodat u zich naast het gezellige vuur kunt vermaken. Schilderachtig uitzicht op de vijver vanuit keukenraam.

1e verdieping Badkamer en Wasserij - Pas gerenoveerde badkamer met designer tegels en een "boerderij glam" gevoel. Bewonder de vintage Louis Vuitton-poster! Grote wasmachine en droger.

Woonkamer - Goed verlichte centrale ruimte, perfect voor samenkomen voor games of in slaap vallen kijken naar een film. Gigantische benchbank met kater en vat en 65-inch flatscreen-tv met Roku en een gashaard met afstandsbediening. Vintage bord uit Europa en andere gecureerde kunst versieren de ruimte.

Cabin Room - Deze charmante kamer is het hart van de originele, historische blokhut. Het heeft een tweepersoons slaapbank, een barkar, een houtkachel en een gezellige leeshoek met twee draaibare fauteuils om van het vuur te genieten. Aarzel niet om een boek uit onze collectie te lenen!

Cabin Guest Room - Een privévleugel van het huis (voor gasten die graag vroeg naar bed gaan), toegankelijk via de cabine. Gloednieuwe badkamer, tv met eigen badkamer en queensize bed met schuimmatras.

Master Bedroom - Crate & Barrel King bed met schuimmatras, restauratie hardware dressoir, een eigen badkamer, een erker en een eigen tv.

Tweede slaapkamer - Queen bed met schuim matras en een grote gloednieuwe badkamer met tonende tegelwerk en glazen douche surround. En-suite tv, en werkruimte die ook fungeert als een ijdelheid!

Slaapkamer 3e verdieping - Ruime zolderkamer met hoge schuine plafonds en statement behang van Anthropologie. Kingsize bed plus een extra eenpersoonsbed. Kristallen kandelaar. Half bad bevindt zich net buiten de deur.

Wijnkelder - gelegen in de kelder met historische stenen muren, wijnvat tafel met twee krukken voor proeverijen. Voel je vrij om de wijncollectie van de eigenaar te bewonderen, maar alsjeblieft BYOB!

Wifi & Speakers - De boerderij is bedekt met wifi met behulp van een Eero mesh-netwerk dat is verbonden met Comcast high-speed internet, en het huis heeft overal Sonos-luidsprekers.

Verwarming en koeling - Gloednieuw HVAC-systeem met airconditioning en verwarming met meerdere zones. Nest-thermostaat.

Gast toegang

Houd er rekening mee dat de aparte schuur / studio en garage en carport op dit moment niet beschikbaar zijn voor de gasten. Van tijd tot tijd kunnen de eigenaren tijdens uw bezoek in de schuur / studio verblijven.

Interactie met gasten

Gasten krijgen een keyless-toegangscode voor zelf inchecken. We zijn op elk moment beschikbaar via telefoon, sms en via de app.

Family Rendezvous

This house is the perfect place for family bonding. Our extended family came together from NJ, FL, VA, MD and NC. The original intent was to check off a Bucket List item to hike 20 miles on the AT. That was accomplished but the real reward was enjoying all the house amenities afterwards. Lounging in the heated plunge pool was great for the tired muscles and then sitting around the fire pit for everyone to share their experiences on the trail brought lots of laughs and commiserating!

Farmhouse is perfect !

The house and property were absolutely perfect for our group. Lots of privacy, the renovations are very well done. All technology is top of the line and works as expected. The pool, or in our case hot tub, was even better than we expected. It was used both nights we were there. The barn apartment is a wonderful place for some additional privacy from a large group, and is extremely comfortable. We would recommend this house 100%.

Family Vacation 2024

We were looking for a place to accomodate our family group of 11. This property was perfect! Everyone had their own suite with a full bathroom. The plunge pool was perfect for relaxing after a hot afternoon at the National Historial Park. The fire pit provided the laid back end to the day! We all enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the rockers for our morning coffee. We even got to see a family of deer while we were in the pool.

The experience at 1805 Farmhouse was fabulous. We had comfortable accommodations for our large group. The decor was outstanding looked like pictures from an Architectural Digest magazine. Bathrooms are beautifully done, all are new. The property needs some upkeep but can be expected for a 219 year old farmhouse. Overall great experience. Highly recommended!

Perfect with Tons of Character

The house was built in 1805 and everywhere you look, history abounds. The owners went the extra mile with furnishings, artwork, and decorative appointments to really show their committment to the property. The contemporary features were a great surprise. WiFi running on eero access points worked perfectly. HVAC was very efficient and everyone was comfortable. Each of our four couples had plenty of private space. Lots of hot water, plenty of towels, and every item you could want or need was organized and placed purposefully. There was really nothing we could have asked for that wasn't already there. The scenery and natural beauty of the area was superb. We're looking forward to a return trip sometime in the near future.

Relaxing, rustic getaway

This was a wonderful experience. Leigh has thought of everything a guest might need and is wonderfully responsive both before checkin and during the stay. We particularly enjoyed the pool, pool table, and large basketball court. There was plenty of room for our extended family get-together. You'll feel so relaxed and peaceful sitting around the fire pit, roasting marshmallows and watching the deer that come by frequently!

It is a lovely old home and converted barn that is beautifully decorated. The owners were easy to communicate with and responsive. They work hard to keep a good rating and it shows. The house was not quite as secluded as I expected but this didn't impact our enjoyment of the property. It was a very relaxing week that included trips to Harper's Ferry, hikes, and brewery visits.

Wonderful place to make great memories!

What a quaint yet very spacious location this was. The owners thought of EVERYTHING so that we can focus on spending quality time with our family. The decor was darling and masterfully executed. The location was perfect- 10min to a grocery store- food lion & walmart and close enough to Arlington Cemetery to visit my brother-in-law who passed while serving our great country. The heated plunge pool was wonderful as well! The property manager as well as the owner were very responsive and a pleasure to work with. We are grateful to have found this place and will not hesitate to spread the word. Thank you guys for making my father-in-law's 80th birthday a special one.

Senior Wine Trippers in West Virginia

Our group of 10 neighborhood wine enthusiasts arrived with a three day agenda to visit local wineries and also to experience Harpers Ferry. After our first full day, we decided to eliminate some of the wineries in order to relax and enjoy the farmhouse. We lingered on the porch in the morning, dipped in the pool in the afternoon, and after dinner around the grill on the back porch, we built a fire around the pit and the ten of us sat and drank the local grapes. Absolutely lovely.

Lifelong friend Reunion

We loved our stay at Magnolia Pond Farm, both the indoor and outdoor spaces. They were all great gathering places for our group of 9. The large round dining table seemed to be our favorite, perfect for reminiscing about our shared history and childhood memories. The cozy farmhouse decor throughout the house was most welcoming to our group of weary travelers on our first night. We loved the outdoor seating area, ideal for appetizers and a glass of wine in the evening. We were entertained by butterflies by day and fireflies by night. What a gem!!! Highly recommend .

Stayed with a group of close friends for my birthday over Halloween, and had a wonderful visit! Everything is as pictured- gorgeous space and plenty of room for the 8 of us in our group, plus our fur babies! A pitch-perfect farmhouse in the heart of Appalachia

This property is everything it appears in photos and more. We had a joyous family reunion here, with 4 children and 6 adults, and found our every need met thanks to Leigh's thoughtfulness. Touches we especially appreciated were the high-end kitchen appliances (including everything from a blender to a toaster to multiple Nespresso machines), porch swing and hammock, extremely comfortable sofa beds, an abundance of luxurious Turkish towels, and the entire complex wired for Sonos. All of this is within a farmhouse that has been lovingly and tastefully restored. I will miss our dinners on the side porch at the long high table next to the grill with the sound of cicadas and a gentle breeze through the trees. (Not to mention the s'mores at the firepit afterwards.)

Wonderful Stay for my Dad’s 80th

We had a great stay at the Magnolia Pond farm. It is perfect for large groups and has such thoughtful amenities. The kitchen is fully equipped, linens are luxurious, all soaps etc. are very high end. Phenomenal Property

Our friends were able to use this property this past weekend and it was nothing short of perfect. Each room in this property is breathtaking, unique, and tranquil. Leigh and Corey offered a great place for our bridal party to get ready before our wedding, and we’re very accommodating throughout the process even given the COVID19 restrictions. The plunge pool was extremely relaxing, the fire pit with the pond in the background was tranquil, and everything inside of the house offered a cozy getaway where we will now have everlasting memories. We will absolutely be back, and encourage people to check out this property! It’s minutes away from fantastic wineries and breweries in the Northern Virginia area, and makes a great getaway for tourists.

A true gem in Harper's Ferry

Let me start by saying, the location is great. It's very near to downtown Harper's Ferry, wineries, breweries, and great trails including the AT. The farmhouse itself is magical. It has a large private lot overlooking a small lake, and you're regularly greeted by deer at dawn and dusk. Inside you're transported back in time, but with all of the comforts of home, and then some. The amenities like the pool, fire pit, pool table, outdoor living spaces, and sound system were all are fantastic. Everything was beautifully decorated, well maintained, and most importantly, clean! The pictures don't do it justice. We relaxed in the rocking chairs under the fans on the front porch, and the house stayed super cool despite the 90 degree days. Our family of 4 (with two teenagers) and Frenchie had more than enough room in the main house, and our 2 friends stayed in the spacious suite above the barn. Leigh provided great instructions, recommendations, and was super responsive. We can't recommend this house enough and are already planning our next stay!
