"It is a well-located and welcoming hotel, right by the sea. We heard from other guests that the hotel has recently been renovated. This seems to apply mainly to its appearance, as there are no new modern facilities. For exmample, we were initially a little surprised that there was no air conditioning in our room. That said, the staff and the location still made it a memorable experience. Here are a few useful things to know: * You can park for free behind the hotel, although it can get quite busy. There are also two free Porsche charging spaces. * At breakfast, you can help yourself to the continental options, such as croissants and toast, while everything else needs to be ordered at the table. Try to do this as soon as you are shown to your table, as breakfast can get very busy and you may otherwise have to wait quite a while for your tea or coffee and your ordered food. The food is very good and the staff work very hard and are friendly. * Our room did not have air conditioning or a fridge, so keep this in mind if you are visiting during the summer. * You are given a room key with a large key fob, which can be a little impractical to carry around. * The train station is around the corner and thankfully you can hardly hear the trains * I was unable to take a warm shower in the late evening. It is possible that the tap thermostat was faulty or that the boiler had run out of hot water. I would recommend checking this when you arrive. Still definitely worth a stay!"

"This was our second stay at The Grand. Our first visit made us come back. This hotel is unique, you feel a real guest every second you are there. Special thank you to David, the concierge! We combined our stay with a 3 day trip to London. Definitely coming back again to Eastbourne and stay at this amazing hotel."

"Groot Victoriaans hotel, netjes maar wel kleine kamer en badkamer en erg warm (ventilator, geen airco, raam met zeezicht kon maar klein stukje open). Ontbijt in orde. Kiezelstrand aan overkant van de straat, restaurants en winkels op loopafstand. Sfeervol en mooi gelegen maar niet modern. Bushalte voor de deur (oa hop on-hop off)."

"Guestling Hall is een traditioneel Engelse Hall. Personnel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We konden eerder inchecken wat super fijn was. We verbleven daar een nacht op doorreis naar de Eurotunnel."
