'2nd visit to this beautiful boutique hotel. Loved the rooms,food & beautiful gardens with plenty of tables & seating areas. Staff very helpful & friendly. Car park close by you do have to pay however we downloaded app and where able to top up following morning. Very central to everything you need bars restaurants shopping and great walks near by. Would highly recommend '

Building is a pub in an old building with the upper rooms converted to accommodation. Although the room was small it was a masterpiece of how to use space and did. Not feel cramped in any way. The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. With the property being on a main thoroughfare and a very busy pub a nice touch was the provision of earplugs.
Breakfast was served in a restaurant area at the back of the pub....
'Simply superb! This traditional B&B, for me, was perfect. Louise met me at the door with a warm smile and showed me to my, quaint, comfortable room. The brass-rail bed was super comfortable and my breakfast was cooked excellently by Peter, the other half of this welcoming (and hardworking) couple. Highly recommend this place when you’re passing through Shrewsbury UK.

'Lovely cottage but not where Expedia show it in the town centre. Longden common is nice and the red lion pub just down the road is a good place to eat. Stairs a very steep so something to be aware of not mentioned in details about the rental. '
'Staff was very welcoming and helpful. our rooms were clean and I was happy with the iron, ironing board and hair dryer in the room. breakfast was great but as my partner was vegetarian he only had hash browns and beans it would be nice to have veggie sausages. we decided to eat in on our last night but was disappointed in the meal as the nan bread was rock hard and the curry was very bland with less curry and more of the boiled rice missing out the mango chutney will not be eating dinner again'

"Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and there were a lot of amenities like a hairdryer, coffee, tea, and towels. The linen were also very clean. The discount at the pub was a nice bonus; they have a nice selection of beers at good prices."
