Ongeëvenaarde luxe vakantiehuis aan de Little Red River

Kom tot rust en maak levenslange herinneringen in het Chateau on the Little Red, een luxe vakantiehuis van 4292 vierkante meter aan de adembenemend mooie Little Red River in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Het kasteel is ontworpen door de beroemde Arkansas architect Eugene Pfeifer Levy. De architectonische details omvatten hoge plafonds, massieve ramen, zichtbare balken en verbazingwekkende brede planken grenen vloeren.

Het kasteel beschikt over paleisachtige woonruimtes met een spectaculair uitzicht op de rivier. Drie slaapkamers bevinden zich beneden, elk met uitzicht op de rivier. Een enorme vierde slaapkamer / stapelbed kamer bevindt zich op de tweede verdieping. De hoofdkeuken van het kasteel is een genot voor fijnproevers. Het kasteel heeft echter ook een complete tweede keuken en twee grote vergaderzalen, elk met een eigen open haard.

Er is een grote beschutte veranda en een enorm terras om te genieten van het uitzicht op de rivier en om buiten te ontspannen. Het benedendek en de eigen aanlegsteiger bieden een nog intiemer uitzicht op de Kleine Rode Rivier.

Het terrein van het kasteel is ronduit spectaculair. Gasten betreden het terrein via een privépoort, een prachtig landschap, stenen paden en een grote fontein die de weelderige omgeving van het kasteel aanvullen. en een eigen aanlegsteiger. De Little Red River biedt forelvissen van wereldklasse. In mei 1992 werd het wereldrecord voor een bruine forel (40 pond, 4 gram) in de buurt gevangen.

Hoewel het kasteel de droom van een visser is, is het veel, veel meer. Gasten genieten van wandelen Bridal Veil Falls, Sugarloaf Mountain, Collins Creek of de Mossy Bluff Nature Trail, kajakken of paddleboarden op de Little Red River, waterskiën of klif springen bij Greer's Ferry Lake, golfen bij de Red Apple Inn & Country Club , een middag doorbrengen in het charmante Ruland Train Museum, winkelen bij Ellen Hobgood Gallery in het centrum van Heber Springs, of gewoon een geweldig boek lezen terwijl u geniet van de prachtige omgeving van het kasteel.

The property was very clean and spacious and was exactly as described on VRBO. I was impressed, among other things, by the vaulted ceilings in living area, and by all of the provided fishing/recreational supplies at the dock. Beautiful home on the Little Red River. We had 4 couples and everyone was very comfortable. All the comforts of home were provided. Fishing right off the private dock was excellent, we brought 2 kayaks and a boat and kept them right at the dock. Would definitely go again

Margo was incredibly helpful accommodating our family for Labor Day weekend. The house is just beautiful with plenty of space. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is fully stocked. We enjoyed the canoe with the kids several times. Highly recommend the chateau!

We had the most amazing stay at the Chateau on the Little Red River! The spacious kitchen and large dining table were perfect for gathering our entire family — so many wonderful memories were made there.The dock quickly became a family favorite. My brother and niece practically had to be dragged away because they wanted to spend every second out there trying to catch those beautiful rainbow trout. The peaceful setting and stunning river views made it the perfect escape.This place was absolute heaven, and we enjoyed every single moment. Five day fishing trip with kids

The property was great. Nice location , boat dock was very convenient. The house was clean and spacious. We did have an issue checking in. The doors were locked so we had to contact VRBO because we could not get in touch with the owners. It was an honest mistake but kind of a bummer after 10 hours of travel and groceries in the vehicle. Another suggestion would be for the closets to have some hangers for cloths. The closet was spacious but without hangers so we could not hang anything. A little more shampoo, paper towels, toilet paper would have also been nice. We were there for five nights so we had to go buy some more of these things. Not terrible but it would have been nice. The property was great and convenient for all of us so these minor things would not deter me from renting it again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chateau. It was a very well equipped home with anything you might need in any way. Plenty of space in and out whether you wanted to be together or needed some quiet time for yourself. Having the dock and access to the canoe was also nice. Above all the home was immaculate and the beds were comfortable.

Great Place

We enjoyed our stay at this house. Our host’s communication was excellent and the house was in clean condition when we arrived. We loved the accessibility of the boat doc, which allowed us to get a lot of fishing in, although we probably been more successful if the dam was generating less. The house probably needs a couple of updates. The top oven is not working properly, the sink sprayer has no water pressure, and the TV in the living room is probably on it’s last leg (freezing up, controls not working correctly, etc.).

Still the BEST!

This was our second Christmas in a row to stay at The Chateau. Last year was a 5-star review and this year’s stay is another 5-star stay. I guess that makes The Chateau a guaranteed 10! You cannot ask for nor expect a better place to stay while visiting the Central Arkansas area. Some details: easily found using the given directions or by plugging the address into your phones mapping app, tons of parking space for family and guests, huge spaces to get together or get away to relax, 2 awesome kitchens, upstairs area is great for kids or teens, wrap-around deck for enjoying the sights and sounds of the river, outdoor fire pits for those that love sitting by a campfire, and a boat dock that you can launch from or just fish and relax. Margo, we will see you guys again! Thanks for making our Christmas a true blessing!

Perfect Down Time

Great retreat space for our family to cook together, play games, fish, hike and spread out for quiet time. Your kitchen space and equipment is beyond excellent. In our opinion it sleeps 10 comfortably in beds. The two pull out beds upstairs are only single beds and need replacing with something else. Two single murphy beds in the second kitchen/ living area would be great.

Can’t say enough about the place. It’s so nice inside and out. Had so many extras of the basic needs plus additional things to do on the dock. When water isn’t generating you can wade off from the dock as well. Great place and thanks for all the attention to detail.

Little Red Getaway

This is a stunning house in a great location. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a ton of space. The hosts are super communicative and even went out of their way to let us know that the Northern Lights were viewable when we were there. The owners clearly take pride in their house and it was a joy to utilize all of the thoughtful amenities.

Incredible home spacious and extremely well designed. Master suite, comfortable bed, setting area provided views because of the Hugh windows. Two kitchens, game room, large great room. Kitchen well equipped for family cooking and dining. Any would love this home.

Perfect Vacation as Always

We stay at this property every year with our family and it never disappoints. We usually come at the end of July but moved up to end of June. We catch trout every day, regardless of when we go. House is fully stocked and large, just perfect.
