The Cardinal Cottage is een comfortabele, ruime cottage met 2 slaapkamers, 1 badkamer gelegen in een kleine, gevestigde ontwikkeling. Ons gastenverblijf ligt op slechts 10 minuten van het centrum van Hendersonville en de luchthaven van Asheville. Het huisje ligt 1/4 mijl van een van de belangrijkste twee rijstroken snelweg. Onze verharde deadend particuliere weg gastheren slechts 9 huizen. Het huisje is gelegen op ons terrein en door dichte bossen in een privé-omgeving.
De kardinaal ligt in een bos van volwassen dennen en eiken. Het land rond de kardinaal is vlak en er zijn slechts drie stappen van de oprit naar het huisje. Het huisje is omgeven door grote beboste stukken en creëert een zeer rustige, ontspannen en privé-omgeving. De locatie is perfect voor al uw sightseeing-avonturen of ontspannen op de veranda. Het huisje ligt dicht bij Hendersonville en Mills River, maar een apart toevluchtsoord.

De kardinaal is mooi ingericht en heeft een volledig uitgeruste en gevulde keuken. Een grote afgeschermde veranda is toegankelijk via dubbele Franse deuren uit de woonkamer. Geniet van het ontspannen op de veranda terwijl witte eekhoorns rennen en vogels op de feeders landen. Een toevallige zwerm kalkoenen of een hert kan voorbij dwalen. De veranda beschikt over een ouderwetse houten schommel, een eettafel voor 4 personen en 2 comfortabele leesstoelen. De woonkamer is ruim met comfortabel meubilair en een speeltafel voor kaarten of computerwerk. Er zijn 2 Smart HD-tv's. De enige in de woonkamer is 4K. De andere bevindt zich in de slaapkamer met twee eenpersoonsbedden. Een slaapkamer heeft een tweepersoonsbed en de tweede slaapkamer heeft twee eenpersoonsbedden. De tweeling kan worden omgezet naar een koning voor een verblijf van 3 weken of langer. Beide hebben grote ladekasten en een dubbele diepe kastruimte. De badkamer biedt een commode voor comfort, 2 handgrepen en een handdouche.
Een hoog efficiënt centraal lucht- en verwarmingssysteem houdt u het hele jaar door comfortabel. Een wasmachine-droger bevindt zich in de garage die ook is verwarmd en voorzien van airconditioning.
Een mooie met stenen omzoomde verharde weg leidt u door het bos naar het huisje. De tuin is zonnig en vlak om te genieten van een spelletje jeu de boules of een frisbee te gooien. Een grote gasgrill en grills bestek zijn beschikbaar voor cookouts.

Mountain trip

We had a fabulous weekend and the hosts are extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area! Their home is so cozy and private and we enjoyed being on the porch bird watching! We will definitely be back!

Three week stay

My wife and I stayed at the Cardinal Cottage last September for four nights so when we decided to spend three weeks in the Hendersonville area this summer, we had Cardinal Cottage at the top of the list. We love the large screen porch, the warmth of the house with the real pine paneling, the deer which we saw about every other day and the quiet location. The Cardinal Cottage will be at the top of our list next summer if we decide to return to the Hendersonville/Asheville area.

Wonderful Get Away

Clean and cozy, surrounded by nature but close to all the great shops and restaurants in the area. Everything is there that you need for a comfortable stay, from cooking to sleeping. Hosts took care of us and made the stay special, it felt like we were hosted by family.

Wonderful stay again!

We just returned from our 4th stay at the Cardinal Cottage. Mrs. Lonnie and Mr. David are fantastic hosts. They make us feel very welcome and at home. This cottage is in a great location - a short, easy drive to downtown Hendersonville and is very private. The screen porch provides a great place to watch all the birds that come to enjoy the feeders. We look forward to our next visit.

NEED MORE OF THIS

I do not believe I can put into words the time we have had at Cardinal Cottage. Everything was perfect! We love birds and had no idea we would spend a week in a bird sanctuary, as we call it, just sitting on the porch. We figured there wasn’t 30 seconds that went by without a bird in the birdfeeder. We learned many different types of birds and their songs. We hated leaving Rufus-He was a Rufus sided Towee. There was everything that we needed to enjoy our stay ~ Lonnie was the perfect host and made sure that our stay was complete-lovely people! ~ We cooked a few meals and had everything we needed ~ Lonnie even put in the refrigerator, some local fresh peaches, and green peas from the garden ~ Everything was very clean. My white socks didn’t even get dirty. ~ The landscaping, bushes, flowers and everything around us was so beautiful ~ they suggested places to eat and places to visit Which helped immensely! We enjoyed the area tremendously! We hope to be back soon!

Perfect weekend getaway

I can’t even put into words how perfect this little cc cottage was, had everything we needed, very cozy and felt like you were far away from the hustle and bustle yet we were close to be able to shop. Our Host Lonnie was so kind and very helpful letting us know if we needed anything. I know when we go back to Hendersonville if this place is available this will be where we’re staying.

Our stay at the Cardinal Cottage was very enjoyable and relaxing; just what we were looking for when we decided to visit from Florida for a short week. Lonnie was very responsive before and during our stay. She provided a detailed introduction to the house and property and offered us recommendations to local attractions. Great stay, watching birds were great for there were so many that was not in out part of the world. Saw Pilates Woodpecker. Best part of stay was enjoying the screened in porch. Great location for traveling part of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Perfect little cottage!

After many trips to the mountains, we've come to love the Hendersonville/Mills River area. We chose this property because of its proximity to both. Lonnie greeted us when we arrived and gave us a thorough tour. She may be the kindest person you'll ever meet. The kitchen is fully stocked, the beds are very comfortable, and that porch...oh my! We watched birds at breakfast and lunch on the porch and finished our nights there relaxing in the cool mountain air. We visit the mountains regularly and I would absolutely rent this property again. It's secluded and cozy...a perfect little cottage.

Charming and peaceful

We had a lovely, peaceful stay at Cardinal Cottage. Lonnie met us when we arrived and gave us a thorough intro to the house and advice for the area. The cottage is charming, clean, and super comfortable. We felt at home instantly. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. I learned some new birds - watching them at the feeders and in the trees.

Great Location in the Woods

The cottage is well located to visit the area attractions and only about 5 miles from downtown Hendersonville. The cottage is clean , private and very well equipped . The owners are available and helpful in answering all your questions. So many birds came to the feeders. We saw at least 3 white squirrels and 3 deer grazing in an open area. We were happy we booked the cottage. Will definitely return.

Thanksgiving Weekend Getaway

This is a charming cottage in a great location, easy access to Hendersonville and Asheville and surrounding areas. The cottage is private and in a beautiful setting, with everything you need for a few days, a week or even longer. The beds are extremely comfortable and all the linens and towels are luxurious. The owners are wonderful, quick to answer any questions and to offer great suggestions on places to go or eat in the area.
