'We absolutely loved Arcasa. The villa was beautiful, stylish, clean and comfortable. The outside area was private with high quality sun loungers and patio furniture. Everything that you need is in the villa. We arrived late and Michael very kindly left us some food and water to get us through to the next day when shops would be open. Lovely cleaners came everyday to empty bins etc. The town is fabulous, we enjoyed a coffee in the square every morning and fresh bread from one of the bakeries. You...

' The host seemed friendly and even offered to escort me to the house, which I initially appreciated. Once we began the drive, I realized why. The property is located on top of a mountain, about 1,600 ft above sea level, something never mentioned in the listing. The road to get there was extremely dangerous—narrow one-lane stretches intended for two cars, very few guardrails, and almost no streetlights as you climbed higher. 'We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was well appointed and comfortable, especially the beds. Short little walk down to a lovely beach with beds and drinks. A 15 - 20 minute walk to some lovely tavernas with lovely views over the sea. Mini market and superb bakery 15 min walk from apartment. Great bus service to Heraklion. Owners superb. Great welcome from George who also drove us to the big supermarket on our first day :-)). All in all we had a great week and some super weather....
