'We waren hier voor 2 nachten. Schone en gezellige kamer. Bij binnenkomst stond er een pot met verse koekjes en een fles koud water Er lagen veel handige verpakte spulletjes in de kamer zoals zeepjes, oordopjes, make up pads enz. Rustige omgeving. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en de gastdame kwam regelmatig vragen of alles oke was. Al met al een aanrader.'

'Our room at the Deri-Down was lovely and comfortable with a large walk-in wardrobe and a modern well equipped en-suite shower room. There was a multi-channel TV, a small fridge with milk, tea/cofffee provided. The landlady was very helpful and allowed my son and his wife to change in our room for the wedding we were all going to. 'A lovely warm greeting from Tim, he gave us all the information we needed and when he found out we had to leave the following morning by 6am, he went above and beyond for us. Made sure we knew where all the breakfast bits and bobs were and gave us a demo for the hot water. Tim then proceeded to set a table up ready and waiting for us in the morning. Nothing was too much trouble for Tim, he is an excellent host, food advisor and a parking advisor too! The whole place was spotless and smelt...

'Lovely old building with some beautiful original features. The rooms we had were extremely spacious and the beds were very comfortable, I certainly had a great night sleep! Breakfast was superb, a great varied menu and happy to make changes to suit. One big bonus was the enclosed garden which was great for the dogs. Sue and the staff we met were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We’ll definitely be back!'

'To my surprise was the only guest during my stay. The hosts were kind and considerate. The room is small but tidy and in well maintained condition. Separate shower which is a bit basic but sufficient, the bathroom is en suite though. There is also a drawing room which you share with a lodger, a bit old fashioned but still nice. Breakfast gives you a choice between continental and full English breakfast in a very nice room. '

'Het is een mooi ingericht hotel, maar voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn een uitdaging. Veel op/afstapjes, een douche in een bad en geen lift. Wij vonden het eten matig en duur. De prijs was geen probleem geweest als de kwaliteit prima was. Onze ervaring was dat met name het vlees (veel zenen en taai en bij de roast niet echt warm) geen goede kwaliteit had. Bij reclameren werd het weliswaar opgelost, maar het moet natuurlijk meteen goed gaan. '

"Nice building, character. We had a huge room in the eves, great. However, there is a need for some maintenance, stair carpet a big hole, some woodwork could do with a lick of paint, silicone refreshing. The spa, mmmm, clean those shower walls and repair some taps and such. It really needs to be uplofted in places."
