'We had a lot of fun, caught a bunch of fish and released them, it was very comfortable and a excellent location, right on the water,We would definitely stay there again, it rained every day 2 or 3 times and at night it would rain, sure was good sleeping weather, every one walking by with there dogs were nice friendly, and stopped and talked I talked to someone that was cleaning the cabin and she was very nice I would recommend staying there. '

'We loved the convenience of being close to family in Bayfield. Previously we have stayed in hotels in Durango and were glad not to have to drive back and forth to Durango every day. The cabin was in such a pretty setting by the river. Although we didn’t have time to enjoy the property, we hope to return! The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The host said we could bring an air mattress, so each grandchild spent a night with us also. Perfect! '

'Our stay in this cabin at James Ranch was fantastic! The cabin was perfect for my wife and I, and everything was just as described in the listing. 'Very nice propery between Durango and Purgatory. Well furnished with beautiful views and nice amenities including the hot tub. Easy access to the road. There are stairs to access the home, but that was not an issue for us. Overall, very pleased with this choice. We will definitely stay again.'

'My husband, myself and our chihuahua (Maggie) spent 6 glorious nights at the cabin. We were fortunate enough to extend our stay when our other plans fell through. Shannon was so peaceful and gracious to make our stay so fabulous.If we come back to the area we will definitely be looking into this home away from home.'

'We really enjoyed this property. The home was spacious allowing plenty of room for all ten of us. The game room was a great gathering space. Dining area was large enough for all of us to eat and play games together. Easy drive in to both Bayfield and Durango. And very close to Vallecito Lake. Would definitely recommend this property. '

'Overall a great place to stay. Pros - The cabin is in a great location on the Vallecito Creek. While a bit isolated at roughly 45 minutes to Durango, it is ideal if you are looking for a quiet place with space to roam, and lower temperatures. The sound of the creek, the ability for the kids to float down the creek a few hundred yards, and the hummingbirds, deer, foxes and other wildlife were what we came to experience. There is not an indoor dining table, but the long deck facing the creek...

'This is a nice location to stay in the place was extremely clean except for the beds were extremely uncomfortable and the TV didn't work but I don't think it's a place where you care if the TV works or not. Overall it was a pretty good experience except for their heater air conditioner was extremely loud and kept us up all night'

'Price Bunkhouse at Croll Cabins was awesome. Very quaint and cozy - perfect for a stay at Vallecito Lake. The views of the lake and mountains from the front windows of the cabin were fantastic. The folks at Croll Cabins are extremely friendly and helpful! The pups enjoyed the yard and taking a stroll along the water's edge. Highly recommend staying here whether you just need a home base or if you need a place to relax and rest!'

'An amazing home at the end of the street which offered a wonderful view of the river. It had the feel of being all alone in paradise. The layout of the home was great, and the kitchen was well equipped. The home was clean, my only complaint was it had several spider webs by TV and fireplace and I am terrified of spiders.'

'The moment we walked into the cabin, we felt we had gone back 150 years! This is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature. It is rustic with all the modern conveniences. The wildlife is amazing! Unfortunately, our dog was not as impressed as we were and she tended to scare off all the critters! Overall, a lovely experience!'
