'We had a lovely stay at Woodlands Country House. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a great base to explore the wonderful Lake District and surrounds. Daryl and Naomi are great hosts. Daryl's food is amazing. We shall miss his great breakfasts. We were very sad to leave Woodlands. Would definitely stay there again. '

'Just had a really enjoyable stay at The Horse and Farrier in Threlkeld. The staff are excellent and go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. The accomodation was excellent, very clean and tidy with great views. The food for both breakfast and evening meal was truly delicious and the selection of real ales was top notch. Easy to walk into Keswick along the wagonway or get the bus from right outside. Would totally recommend.'

The location is approx. 15 minutes walk into Keswick and the Threkeld trail, just down the hill, make walking there better away from the traffic.

'Lovely hotel, currently undergoing refurbishment. But no impact on experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of nice touches in the room. I have already recommended it to several people and I will certainly return.
We were a family of 5 and the kids also remarked on how impressive it was, they enjoyed playing tennis and having a swim after dinner. Food was wonderful with an excellent choice, we enjoyed both our dinner and breakfast. *Highly recommend *'

'We hebben genoten van de heel open wijze waarop Pauline en Mark hun B&B runnen. Je krijgt er een super ontbijt, advies over mogelijke uitstappen, reservatie van een tafel in de plaatselijke pub. Niets is te veel. Bovendien zijn de kamer en badkamer zeer netjes. Deze B&B ligt op wandelafstand van Keswick, wat zeer gemakkelijk is omdat de auto op de private parking kan blijven staan.'

Hotel was beautiful and certainly above the ‘stars’ given.
Bedrooms were massive and tastefully decorated. Breakfasts were amazing and plenty of it.
Some decor dated bit the staff certainly made up for any of that. .. Kind, professional, knowledgable, engaging abd with a sense of humour. …. Certainly a credit to Hotel.
Hotel has recently been modernised bit nit lost its Victorian charm.

'Very welcoming reception from the host. We stayed for two nights and had a fantastic cooked breakfast each morning. My wife is coeliac and was well catered for. This B&B is ideally suited for the city centre, has close transport links and also provides on-street parking.
